Briney or Picklish?

S

Pickled or briney, anyone know of any snuff with something along this idea? Maybe it’s me but I get a little hint of pickle/brine from Bespoke’s G&T and wonder if any maker has taken this idea further. Sounds good to me anyhow, a pickled HDT perhaps? Indians love their pickled fruits and chutneys, Dholakia? Maybe a chutney snuff.

P

Curry, Black Pepper, Chilli and Mustard would be nice!!!

B

Black pepper makes the best snuff scent. Seriously when is a company going to try it and make a killing off this great snuff scent.

B

I received an order from nicotinerush today with a free sample of RR Mills Maccoboy which seems to have a hint of brine definately slightly savoury can’t decide if i like it or not

What about WoS IHT No 22? Some people say that it has a bacon flavour, which could also be described as briney?

J

How about a dill weed scent? That would be easy enough to do yourself.

S

Thanks all, I was wondering if there were any commercially made savory snuffs that fly below the radar. I would think some people would find something like that appealing. I was gonna add McCabboy to my next Nic Rush order, even though the only rose snuff I’ve liked so far has been Dholakia’s. I don’t get much bacon from IHT #22 myself but have read others do. It does have a little savory tang that I guess could be taken that way but I was hoping for something more obvious. Since the British and Indian cultures have been intertwined so long I bet there’s crossover snuffs that none of us have ever heard of and don’t enough attention to market. I’m a little surprised there’s no chutney snuffs since it’s popular in both cultures. I agree that black pepper would make for a great snuff!

The only other thing I can think of, that could be vaguely alomg the lines of what you are talking about, is Tranter’s ‘Grimstone’s eye’, which was a herbal snuff. I don’t think there is anything out there unless as you say, there is some local snuff somewhere. Interesting thought though.

Or some kind of masala snuff. where are they? You would think! Has anybody tried the rosemary snuff?

S

Masala, that sounds about right. I haven’t tried any rosemary snuff but I have some Lemon&Thyme which is pretty nice but more citrus than savory. Snus is fairly salty but I guess there’s not too many salty snuffs or the nose doesn’t pick up salt too well. Scotches are pretty salty if you dip em but not sniffed.
