Can someone explain what this is? I see it being referenced in the forum as a way to snuff, but am clueless other than I think it has to do with your thumbnail.
Wrap your index finger around the tip of your thumb so that it forms a basin. Pour snuff in this fingery receptacle, bring up to your nostril and sniff. This works well for larger portions. Choo-choo!
A picture tells a thousand words ?
Aaaaahhhh… Thanks! That about sums it up!
That does seem like a lot. I’ll have to work my way up to that amount. Baby steps…
I use the boxcar method all the time… Pluses: It allows you to get a lot more snuff in a single pinch. It works well if you are outside in the wind. Minus: It only works as well as the free flow of air into your nostril. If you are congested, the effeciency drops dramatically.
I’m a caboose kinda guy. =))

That one is just for the left side
Using the locomotive technique (plastic straw) after several drinks will make the horn blow louder and possibly make you jump out of you boots.

Nice one chef
Nice thing about the boxcar is I always have it at hand
I couldn’t snuff toasts or scotches without sneezing and tearing up until i learned about the boxcar (a recent development). now for some reason I can snuff HDT without it hitting my throat. I think its because I can really regulate how much air i’m letting in through my fingers.
I guess I won’t thumb my nose at the idea

I am not sure I understand @chefdaniel. Does that mean that you like to take it in the caboose? I am referring to snuff, of course.

Pros - increased strength due to better distribution in nose (less clumping, more of a “snuff-mist” effect); altered scent due to same effect Cons - messy, harder to control
Damn I thought my boxcars were big!
It is a great way to take snuff Wow
