When looking through all the techniques on here (and watching the YouTube videos) most pinch techniques I’ve found favour dusting one nostril then the other. Is my technique frowned upon or so common no one mentions it? Taking a pinch between my thumb and index finger I squeeze them slightly together so when separated there is an equal amount of snuff on both fingers, I then cover both nostrils leaving a very slight gap and give a short sniff. It works for me and seems as though it would be an obvious technique. Is there a reason no one else mentions this? Sorry if I’m stating the obvious! 
The only drawback that I can think of in doing it that way is that you only get half as much snuff per nostril. Large pinches are easier to take so I do one big pinch per side.
Thanks @crullers. I like experimenting with different techniques (half the fun of taking it) so will keep mixing it up!
I should add, there really isn’t a right way or a wrong way. The best method is the one that works best for you!

I sometimes spoon a fairly large pile in the “webbing” at the base between my thumb and forefinger. Plenty in each nostril, easy.

One nostril always inhales snuff easier than the other. Which nostril it is can change from day to day. I always enjoy the nostril which inhales with more difficulty more, I never get the snuff in the back of my throat with that one. But I always take one pinch and disperse it between both nostrils anyway though. I don’t think too much about how even it gets either. As long as I get tobacco inside my nose.
@Mario84 Yep, I get that too! I used to spend ages trying to get an even distribution of snuff in both, now I don’t worry and top up regularly
My current intake method is a fairly large ‘boxcar’ that’s big enough for both nostrils, one at a time.
It sounds like a fine technique for dry dusty snuffs that I personally can’t take too big of a snuff of. It would be good if you are in a hurry or at work… However you just couldn’t do enough to really satisfy yourself at least not some of the smoother snuffs, plus on a windy day, or just in general it seems like it would just fall on the floor if you were not careful. But hey one thing is true, if it works for you, then keep on doing it.
