Am I the only one who has this problem? It seems most times whenever i blow my nose I always get some snuff in my eye and it burns for about 5 minutes. I use tissue and not a handkerchief, so maybe that’s the cause, i don’t know. Any suggestions? Thanks, jason

i do occasionally. not sure if its ‘blowback’ or apparently theres a tube connecting nose to tear duct or something. could be that. i remember as a child one of my ‘party’ tricks was blowing/breathing through said hole.

I’ve had a couple goobers ricochet of my Kleenex and into my eyes. Stings a bit. Made me wonder if I’d get a nice nic hit by loading the eye sockets. Some in this community claim better sight after this mishap.

Make a better seal towards you eyes and the bridge of nose. Or just enjoy the burn, It’ll put hair on your chest! Also, Using thicker material may help. I read about hankies on this site, but I personally use a thick paper towel.

Try only blowing one nostril at a time. It may correct the back pressure :-B

Yesterday I offered my buddy some Bruton and he quickly coughed it into another buddy’s eyes. Tight places on those Submarines, Lol!

Why don’t you just close your eyes while blowing?

By the way - I use half a pack of tissues every morning. My nose wants to run away from me after every night.
