Black Rappee's - lets hear your thoughts.

Only recently got into these kind of snuffs. I have a 25g tin of London Brown and am loving it. Its thick and wet as mud and as black as Wayne Rooneys money grabbing soul. Leave it in for a bit and it hits you like a bomb. So what else is a good Rappee? What makes a snuff a Rappee? I also enjoy F&T’s Santo Domingo, while not as dark and wet as LB is it also a Rappee? Flavour seems like it? What about the dark, moist, flavoured snuffs such as Cafe Royale. Are they also Rappee’s or are Rappee’s only plain? Lets hear your thoughts on Rappees. Whats good ones should I try? Any elusive ones out there?

Rappee is derived from Rapé, which is French for grate and refers to the time when a stick of tobacco (carrot) would be grated by the user for nasal inhalation. Rappee is therefore gros (coarse) in texture and should be moist. The dark rappees are made using a technique called ‘Paris’, which is described elsewhere on this forum. Some rappees (like London Brown) are plain. Others, such as Princes or Santo Domingo are flavoured. Irrespective of additional flavourings or not it should only be purchased by bulk or in vacuum-sealed tins to avoid ruin by dehydration. Café Royal is not rappee.
