Hi All, Just been sent a link to the some old photos of Bewdley Snuff Mill, which by the looks of the photos was in a terrible state in the late 20th century. For those outside of the UK, Bewdley is in the Midlands, just on the outskirts of Birmingham. Does anyone live up that neck of the woods know whether it’s still standing and in what state it is in? I can remember as a teenager going on school canal holidays in the Birmingham area - interesting fact that stuck in my memory was that Birmingham has more miles of canals than Venice… I would imagine that during the 18th and 19th century the snuff mill would have been ideally placed for transportation of snuff via the canal networks, that at the time also covered most of the UK.
