Best of Samuel Gawith

V

Hi. Which one of SG’s are your favourite? I’ve tried so far: - Elmo’s Reserve (best one in my opinion) - Raspberry (decent) - Scotch Black (painful one - because of clods) - Firedance (too sweet, but good) From plastic boxes: - Guarana - Raspberry - Black Coffee - Peach - Gold Mull - Apricot I found those in plastic boxes much drier and, generally, worse than from tins. So, I’m gonna buy some 25g tins and I’d like to ask - which ones would you recommend me, except the one’s I’ve already tried? I see there is a big variety of them: https://www.snuffstore.co.uk/samuel-gawith-c-52\\_125.html so I am not able to decide myself. I’d rather buy all of them, but I don’t have enough money.

G

Elmo’s Reserve Black Coffee Those snuffs are both untouchable— wonderful… Miss my Black Coffee so much… out currently… Anyway, Elmo’s is my fav.

N

The Kendal Browns, Plain being my favorite.

P

Kendal brown original and Cob dark would be my recommendations.

B

I like mostly all except the fruit flavors; excluding banana and raspberry those I like Favorites Black Coffee, elmos, celtic talisman, peppermint dark, blue crest, chocolate,KB Original, richt kind, Princes Dark ,Cola

As of today I am in receipt of : Christmas 2013 Celtic Talisman Elmo’s Reserve Kendal Brown Auld Sannick Red Crest I’ve tried all and they are marvellous. I don’t have a favourite as yet. These are the first of the SG snuffs I’ve tried and wished I’d sampled them long before now.

T

Black Rappee and Kendal Brown, there are others, but these are my two favorites

J

Black Coffee, Elmo’s Reserve, Grousemoor, Kendal Browns, Scotch Black, London Brown, and Black Rappee are my favorites from Sammy G.

D

I’d have to agree with tboyer; of those I’ve tried Black Rappee and KB Original are my favourites. I went to the factory last year and had 5 tins of each made up for me so I’m probably a little biased. The experience of being allowed into SG’s ancient, hallowed blending room was really quite something.

D

By the way, the chap who did the mixing for me remarked that Black Rappee and London Brown are one and the same.

C

Grousemoor

C

Black Coffee, Red Crest and SP Scotch. But #1 would have to be Viking Dark which is supposedly made by them.

C

My old favorite SG was McCombie, may it Rest in Peace. Currently I’m staying with Black Coffee as #1. On the same daily SG menu for me are: Aperitif: Viking Blonde, Buck’s Fizz, CCC Entrees: London Brown, Scotch Black, Black Rappee Dessert: Firedance is #1, Celtic Talisman, Elmo’s, Cola, Toffee, Chocolate Still on my bucket list: Kendal Browns, Crests, Dr. Verey’s Not favorites; Fruits, Perfumed, Floral

J

@Viertel‌ You should try Black Coffee from a tin, it keeps much better.

@Chefdaniel Based on the menu, I’m coming over to your house for a meal!

Elmo’s Reserve Celtic Talisman Black Rappee/London Brown Firedance Vanilla Scotch Black Mellowmint (Plus check out the Viking and Jaxons snuffs too)

M

London Brown, closely followed by the Kendal Browns I reckon

S

I have to say Black coffee, but it seems to have changed a little. I think i want to try Grousmore…

R

Elmos, Cob Dark, Celtic, Plum, Chocolate, Black Rappee. I would love to say Black Coffee but I honestly don’t think it’s as good as my usual Coffee Kick.

C

@R25‌ Good SG choices. Coffee Kick is good but it has a menthol.

N

Elmo’s, no doubt. KB Plain is wonderful, too, but can’t compare.

P

From what I’ve tried so far it has to be Elmos reserve Kendal brown original Celtic talisman

D

There are so many; how could one begin to choose? Oh, alright then… Kendal Brown Original

L

Golden Glow is my favorite snuff from Sammy G, although there are several others that were close.

J

Sp scotch is my number one favorite, closely followed by black coffee.
