Somewhat of a novice to schmalzer(s). I love bernard, especially this one. Its a daily clutch. Kind of new to snuffs in general. Just quit chewing after 10 years. Is this a traditional schmalzer or a little dry and “fein”?

Ps this is not my typical facial expression; more a representation of my laziness to pick a face…

Civette extrafein is not a Bernard schmalzler like are not for example Alt Offenbacher köstlich, Feiner Offenbacher Cardinal, Feinster Kownoer, Pariser Nr. 2 and Gekachelte Virginie or the mentholated Fichtennadel, Amostrinha ecc.

Correct, its not a schmalzler. Sadly this has been switched to a tapbox recently. A couple of years ago it was still available in 14g glass bottles, which kept it moister. It says on the side of the bottle in German: “extrordinarily fine grained” although that statement only holds up under comparison to other German snuffs. Its more of a medium grind on a worldwide scale.

Love this stuff. It is oiled though not officially a shmalzler. http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=\\_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fservice.ble.de%2Ftabakerzeugnisse%2Findex2.php%3Fdetail\\_id%3D104974%26site\\_key%3D153%26stichw\\_suche%3Dcivette%26zeilenzahl\\_zaehler%3D1&act=url
