Tim, what have you done to me??? I will have to order TONS of this stuff to satify my “hunger”. The Jubiläums is the first menthol snuff I’ve tried which is 100% to my liking. The Klosermischung, Altbaperischer and Zwiefacher also are to good to be true!!! Tonight I will go on a binge such as never before. I’m going to order a LOT of this snuff. With Dholakia, Toque and Bernards in my collection, I seriously doubt whether I need anything else. Once all my other stuff is depleted, I’ will see how badly I miss them and finally make up my mind.

Just got a taste of my first Bernards… the Brasil Double Fermented. OMG! This is just wonderful stuff. Of course I was just saying this same thing the other day about Toque W&H (and I still feel the same). Expecting some Aecht Altbayerischer in from Tim any day now. I feel like a kid with a big bag of candy after Halloween.

@Roam - got me too, I had to look twice, but it’s Schmalzler. Easy to mispronounce I guess, cause it was originally made with schmaltz/fat.
Quick question for anyone who’d know; I received my first Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert today. Is there no seal on this can? I trust the retailer I sourced it from, but for all I’d know, it would seem as if the can wasn’t quite full. Almost like some was used, and the can was sent as new. (though I can’t believe that would happen) Bueller? Anyone?? -Thanks.
My first tin of Bernard Aecht altbayerischer Schmalzler is on the way. It will also be my first Schmalzler. From what I’ve heard it should be good. I can’t wait till it gets here.
I must have used up almost half a tin of Altbaperischer !! It’s like eating Christmas pudding, can’t stay away from the stuff. And RobME, I agree with you, Whisky and Honey is a snuff on it’s own, same as Altbaperischer and Dholakia Manjul. I’m crazy about all three of them.
leman, it’s not good, it’s SOMETHING OUT OF THIS WORLD. No cigar, no cigarette, no pipe tobacco can ever be as awesome as this stuff. I’m so glad I’m a snuffer.
Don’t you find it’s best taken in huge piles?
Yes, I take a HUGE pile on the back of my hand and then I SNORT !! Because it’s so course and damp, the snuff does not end up in my throat, it only makes my head spin nicely !! Can’t wait to get home and try some. I rather leave it at home, otherwise I will finish the tin in no time.
Pieter, it IS so coarse & damp, yet it goes down so easy - or is that up? The smell and taste are wonderful but I wonder with such a very coarse grind, where it all does go. I like when the grind is finer. I like the Toque grind, and I’m getting more used to the much finer toast & American grinds. I thought I might try - as an experiment - taking a small amount of the Schmalzler and drying it out a bit in the oven. Then grinding it finer with a mortar & pestle, and sampling what comes out of it. Might be nice. We’ll see.
Bernard is so warm and cozy I can’t get enough. I do wish fresco and feinst were a bit more fine but the 275 and zwiefacher seem to be perfect. I like the zwiefacher so much I have 4 on the way in my last order along with 2 new, to me, flavors. I just wish I could pronounce the names, but the German speaking people probably say the same thing about the English names. 
Zwiefacher is german dialect and translated : the twofold… Its also the name of a dance. Pronounced like … zweefucha or so Feinst - translated: finest - pronounced: finst Fresco is a special schmalzler variety - pronounced: frasco.

I had an interesting experience with the 275 Jahre the other day. I really love this snuff and tend to suck down a 10g tin in about 3 days. My girlfriend enjoys snuff too but due to her blood pressure she can only use it about once a day. I gave her a shot of of the 275 Jahre one morning and to my surprise found it had an instant aphrodisiac affect on her. Something in it really spiked her chemistry. I’ll be ordering more of this stuff for sure
