I have been out of snuff for almost a month…i have been able to snag a couple sniffs off my buddy…but only three or four total…i finally got money and made my order and it feels like its taking forever…and im getting more desperate. I almost want to sniff cigarette tobacco or even altoids…just anything to give me the feeling of doing snuff.

It shipped tuesday and i still have not seen anything…and im sad…

I would grind up a cigarette and snuff it with no hesitation. Trust me it will be a good experience to have under your belt and something that you can share with us here. You would certainly be deemed a true snuff taker and may even rank as legendary hero… I’m not joking! If you need guidance there are a few grinding and sieving threads that will help.

Yeah u can def grind up some tobacco and make ur own snuff to get u by in the meantime. Works well with any coffee grinder

I have performed said task…i ground up the tabacco from a Marlboro Light…got it as fine as i could…sprinkled a little bit of altoid powder in it for flavor…and snuffed it. At first it hurt a little bit and it kinda burned but once that passed it was alright…not as good as actual snuff, but a good enough substitute for now.

Really? With Altoid powder? I guess heroes are human too.

Lol i crushed up about 1/4 of an altoid and mixed it in. I would definatly prefer true snuff but this is good enough for now

I’ve used dried out Bali Shag rolling tobacco. Had a really nice honey scent. Would’ve been better if it was very finely ground. Did a good job of holding me over though.

American Spirit loose rolling tobacco makes decent snuff. The black pouch/Perique is especially nice.

I’ve recently made a few. Ground up captain black rum pipe tobacco. Just alone is a great smelling snuff. I’ve mixed in a hint of vanilla and clove in one which is actually one of my favorites out of my snuffs. U can def experiment. I’ve made vanilla, lemon, lemon menthol, spearmint, orange, pumkinspice, and clove. All have turned out pretty descent.

If you are ever in a bind again (and this goes for anyone here) shoot me a message I’ve got a metric butt ton of snuff and I can send you some.  I also have a metric butt ton of that thuoc luao leaf tobacco that toque was selling a while back.  (I like to grind it down and suppliment some of my snuffs for extra nicotine)

My biggest thing about being out of snuff, Cigarettes and Cigars just dont do it for me anymore. I mean i still enjoy a good Cigar every now and then, but they just dont give me the same wonderful sensation that snuff does.

If I were you i would buy a tin of dip and use that for now, or try snuffing copenhagen snuff haha thats what makes a hero imo.
Ive heard of making your own snuff by grinding it up, ifi were to ever try that it would be with american spirit tobacco, its chemical free, natural, all that jazz, and they have an organic line too. Its definantly the best cigarette tobacco you can get. Plus they got this Perique tobacco that somone else mentioned, it has interesting bold flavor and its stronger nicotine i think.
I know what its like with the cigarettes and stuff, i stopped smoking without the intention of it, snuff was just better!

I would try using Cope Snuff, however i heard it has fiberglass shards in it like other dips, and i dont really want to know what that might feel like in my nose.  xD

That fiberglass urban legend is still being bandied about?

there is absolutely no way there is fiberglass, I used to have to work with this stuff called ceramic fiber.  Which is just a big badass industrial version of fiberglass, anyways, just to work near I would itch and be miserable for days afterwards.  Even clothes had to be washed a few times afterwards.  If they were to put that stuff in dip, it would do major damage to your mouth, in my opinion. And everytime I put a dip in someone always pipes and says up that there is fiberglass in it and I will lose half my face.  I get sick of it.

I smoke Pall Mall non-filters too, and ground one up one day to try it as snuff. Wonderful! It tasted like the Pall Malls smell when you open the pack, very spicy and smooth. I loved it, just too expensive compared to buying snuff. I’ve honestly had much better luck just buying snuff than making my own. I have a nice Krups burr grinder that I’d sell if anyone’s interested. 

I can’t imagine being out of snuff! That would so totally suck. Fortunately I ordered so many different kinds when I started that there’s just no way I could ever run out.

Everytime i ordered snuff before i only ordered two or three cans at a time…this time, the order im waiting for had 15 cans and im gonna order more sometime soon as well from a different company.

@Elwin You cant blame people for that, in 8th grade we had to go to this tobacco lecture where this radical liberal lady kept going on about how tobacco is the devils plant and everything bad about it, somehow every 5 minutes she managed to go back to the “fact” that there is fiberglass in dip. Had me convinced for a year, even though i couldnt find any in it XD

I used to work at a gas station and one day i was sitting outside having a smoke and a snuff and an old lady walked by and started lecturing me about religion and how tobacco is evil and all that jazz and i went off on her how tobacco was part of sacred rituals for Native Americans and how it had a place in European royalty and how that even Pope Benedict XIII used snuff

First snuff I used was a ground up Export A Gold.

Having fiberglass in dip would serve no useful purpose. The mechanisms for nicotine uptake simply don’t work like that.

 Copenhagen make for a powerful nasal snuff with a great scent but the burn can be overwhelming at times.

In fact having fiber glass in dip would do the opposite of increaseing up take. Since little cuts cause blood to go out which is the wrong way for it to go. Cuts also cause inflammation which would slow down the abosbition of everything since if it didn’t it would be much easier for people to get sepsis from any old cut. So no fiberglass in dip. Though dipping fiber glass is something we probably will be told teens like to do sometime soon.

I live in a small town in Montana, I have a big nice truck, I am on almost every sports team and i have a wonderful girlfriend.

My only issue…my girlfriend does not approve of my snuff-usage.

@Talljim Most people my age have been smoking since they were 13!  And they’re all very much concerned for where their next fix is coming from (Although many are now of age to purchase their own cigarettes, smoke breaks are still an issue for them.)  Makes me appreciate that snuff is my source of nicotine.

I’m starting a new job soon, and once i get my small amount of debt paid off and get back on track, i’m going to start a collection and purchase any snuff that i think may be apealing to me.

@Micheltn Well, It is his thread, maybe theatrically sharing angst was his purpose. I do rather enjoy the suffering and to be honest, after that  ='(  comment, I almost replied “you should kill yourself” But that’s just mean and he did snuff an Altoid flavored Marlboro light which makes him more than worthy of the good stuff.

BTW you guys all realise that copenhagen snuff is intended as dip right? I dont think i know any other brand that still makes dip like that, but yeah thats what it is. A few years back i got a tin and was snorting it thinking thats what you were supposed to do, and boy it was harsh. Apparently you find an odd ball here and there who use it regularly as snuff.
