Hello All, With much sadness, I’m writing to anyone who followed my father Joseph to say that he passed away early morning today, Sept 27th. His battle with Pancreatic Cancer was a long one and he fought it better than most. Thank you to all who checked up on him, followed his progress, and his food posts. He appreciated the support and it gave him sense of purpose in life again. He is now at peace and is no longer suffering, which is all we can ask for. Thank you all again for being part of his life, Joe’s Daughter, Sarah.
I really enjoyed reading all Joe’s posts. He will be missed. Sarah, please accept my condolences.
Condolences and appreciation for all the valuable information your father generously shared with our community
damn it. He was one of the real freaks. One of the few people that didn’t seem to come from a factory where they make other people like him. A hand crafted freak. I don’t know if you know this but that’s one of the highest compliments I can give. There will be no replaces made on this one.
I’m sorry to hear that. My condolences to you, Sarah, and your family in this time of grief.
My condolences to his family. Josephs’ wide knowledge of snuff really helped me when I first started. He will be missed.
He wrote a lot of interesting and enlightening things. This Forum will miss his contribution.

I hope Joseph’s knowledge and bright insights on tobacco will stay in this place for ages.
Well…this sucks. In one way its good to hear he got peace and is no longer suffering…on the other hand he will be missed, and i dont think anyone will be capable of taking his place. May he rest in peace.
This is very sad news, his wealth of knowledge was unparalleled. My condolences to you and the rest of your family
I’m really sorry to hear that but glad he is now at peace.

Sarah, your father will be greatly missed here. He graced us with his wit and wisdom for many years, and I’m truly sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to you and your family. RIP Shamen, you will be remembered.
All thoughts and prayers to you and yours in a difficult time.
Like all of us, I am very sad to hear this news. I had several private conversations with him over the years through Snuffhouse and I quickly learned what a valuable resource he was for all of us. My best wishes to Sarah and Joseph’s family. All of us are so sorry for their loss and our loss as well.
A sad loss to his family and friends, not forgetting the community here.
I will most definitely miss his humour and knowledge.
Sleep Peacefully.
RIP to a great man. I’d like to think he’s looking down on us now with a great big pile of Dholakia White on the back of his hand. Sincere condolences to his family.
RIP
My condolences to Joseph’s family and friends.
A great loss for our snuff community
I don’t post here often but read a lot and always remember BS’s informative posts. Condolences for your loss and our loss at snuffhouse.
My condolences. I’ve been meaning to post, but haven’t known what to say. I lost someone in July, and can empathize. Cancer sucks!
Joseph and I exchanged several messages when I was starting out on snuff, and not once did he grow tired of my questions. He always answered them with utmost zeal and love and he even advised on some other facets of life in his little wise sentences. I knew this was coming but knowing doesn’t really prepare you anytime. I know everyone is going to miss having him around.
I know for some reason I assumed he’d beat it.
I’m very sad to see you go, Shaman. You will be missed.
deepest condolences goin’ out to Shaman’s Family…
RIP Joe, you’ll be missed…!!
I am very much saddened to read this post. I have been chit chatting for over a decade with Joseph/Shaman. He will be sorely missed. Even his avatar not being here will leave a gap that can’t be filled. My sincere condolences Sarah, and thank you for letting us know. Dave

rest in peace shaman!
My condolences to Shaman’s family and friends. I must have read hundreds of his highly insightful (and often very funny) posts on many subjects throughout the years. I’m very sad to hear of his passing.
I’ve been away from this forum for a while, but I was an active member of a Facebook group that Joseph frequented. He and I spoke many times and I was thoroughly impressed by how passionate and knowledgeable he was about all sorts of tobacco-related topics and issues.
RIP Joseph
I was building an order today and struggling with wether I should order some SWS Ansons Imperiale. If you were to look this snuff up you will find Joe’s words as follow “yep good snuff, this will spoil yourself”’ the neat thing I had just asked my wife should I order this, and Joe was ready with the answer. Sarah your Dad will be missed by many and I am sadden by his passing. Please accept my condolences to you and the rest of Joes family and friends.
Condolences. I joined the board today and was reading some of his posts with pleasure. I saw this thread whilst finding my way around and feel genuinely sad.
So sorry to hear this. I’ve been away from this forum for a year or so, and he was one of the members whose posts I valued most. As others have commented, informative, funny, and all around nice person. My condolences to his family and to those who knew him better.
RIP Shaman. I hope you’re in the big snuff Mill in the sky.
I also enjoyed Joe’s post and we exchanged private messages at times,
Sharp character with a good amount of quality humor. I was out of snuff community last 3 years and i just read that. Chef Daniel and Basement Shaman was pillars to Snuffhouse without a doubt. I came back after long period of break and something is missing here…
I will miss the Shaman. He was a great resource for Snuffhouse members.
Basement and Chef Daniel were stalwart members, senior advisers, mentors to me, and I am sure they were to others. I did trades with them, bought Chef’s snuffs when he said they were ready to be tried. They were men of a certain age, as am I. They will always be fondly remembered and missed by many of us.
Just popped in after a few years and first thing I did was look to see if Joseph was still around. He and Chef Daniel were virtual friends and I am sorry they are gone. I doubt his daughter is reading this post but if she is I offer her my condolences as other here have done.
