I had my first hot towel shave today. OMG! What an awesome experience that was. So relaxing, and my skin is smoother than I’ve ever been able to get it. Anyone else do this regularly or even occasionally? Not to mention the best haircut I’ve ever had. I may have to make this a monthly occurrence.

Ah the hot towel straight razor shave. That’s one of them things every man should experience at least once. I used to get one every week until the owner of the only Barber Shop in town that would do one retired.

Oh yes! Mr P is known to do this every month or so. I actually have all the straight razor gear at home and do it myself once a week (usuallly Saturday morning) which makes you a bit more decerning about the quality of the shave when someone else does it for you. In my experience Turkish barbers seem to be best for this, I guess because it’s much more prevalent there. It is a indeed a lovely and relaxing experience.
