For anyone who is interested in those 1930s style bakelite boxes, this looks like a good one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Antique-Bakelite-Snuff-Box-Geometric-Or-Celtic-Design-/181709602169 Apart from obvious damage, the important thing to look for is the little semicircle on the bottom of the lid just behind the thumb catch. They often break, and without it the lid won’t click shut. Judge for yourself, but I think this one is intact and so worth a punt.
