We tried everything to get our 8 month old daughter crawling, calling her with our arms outstretched and putting her toys just out of reach and nothing worked. This went on for days then i remembered she is always trying to get hold of my Toque snuff tins. We put an empty washed out Toque tin on the floor and she crawled the entire length of the room to pick it up. She has not looked back since and is now quite mobile. If we want to tire her out for bedtime nothing works better than putting a little yellow tin the other side of the room and watching her go fetch, once she gets it take it back put the other side of the room and off she goes again, brilliant. Never underestimate the power of Toque. (Obviously we don’t let her chew the tin or anything like that)
