I got one of these on a trade some time ago, I did not realize what it was until yesterday, when reading a thread about dusty snuffs. I tried it out last night. Took me a while to figure it out. Pretty cool! It shoots the snuff right in, but not too far. Anyone use these regularly?
I want one of these so bad, but I just can’t seem to fit it into a Rajek’s order. If anyone has one for trade, hit me up!

It took me a while to figure out. You just flip your wrist, and it fills the chamber. Then you flip open the top, and push down on it. It actuates a tiny (ingenious) mechanism that pops and the snuff shoots out the hole. It makes a tiny click noise. I’ll try to post some pics later. Oh wait here’s one. See the white cover that is up? You swing it all the way over onto the other white part, then push down. It takes a bit of a squeeze to work.

I have 12 of these automatic boxes but only use 2-3 at a time, each with different snuff. This is thee only way I use snuff as I could never catch on to pinching and sniffing. Didn’t matter what method I tried, always ended up with snuff going too far up. The best thing about these boxes, almost impossible to spill your snuff and you can use while driving! Only bad thing, which may be true of many snuffboxes, it isn’t airtight, so many snuffs only last a few days. I really can’t praise these boxes enough, I would have quit snuff months ago had I not tried one out. 
Any chance of Mr Snuff or Nicotine Rush getting some automatic snuffboxes? I’d love to try one.
I think both stores carry everything Pöschl deems fit to export to the US. If someone can talk the US distributor into importing automatik boxes, have them try to get some Pöschl schmalzlers for us too.

They read them. They might even chime in. Unfortunatley the decision is not really in their hands; its up to either Pöschl’s export marketing people or its up to the US distributor. This is one disadvantage of having such a large business. You’ll notice the small businesses pay attention to us, whether they be snuff makers or sellers. In the mean time, I guess all we can do is buy them from Germany or hope someone like Roderick makes one. That Swiss gadget is available through Snuff Store now, I notice. Its not automatic though.
Swiss gadget? And you didn’t tell me about it an hour ago in the schmalzler thread when I was placing an order why? Sorry, I’m a gear head. It comes with my industry. Wait til we have a “post a photo of your office” thread.
I did read the shmalzler thread, but you had already ordered when I read it, also I wasn’t thinking of it until a few minutes ago. I don’t really know much about it other than it does both nostrils at once. It looks sort of like a, hmm, a um, Space Flute? Breeze in Switzerland has a bunch of them and now Snuff Store carries a few. Look at Breeze’s website on the FAQ pages under shops. If you want gear, that only scratches the surface. They, and Rajek’s and Snuffstore.de and some of the other German shops for all kinds of catapults, slingshots, etc. Look in the archives for all the goodies you can add to you kit. For myself, I’m happy with a handful of snuffboxes, a few different size spoons (even though I pinch 90% of the time). I have a handful of bullets which I rarely use, a little funnel to fill them or other containers, a metal rod to push them through the funnel when they clog it, a pocket mirror for checking my nose, some hankies, smash boxes, cannisters, my neti pot and its salt and zinc solution. That’s about it, but you can go really crazy if you have time to search. There are lots of weird styles of snuffboxes out there too.
I just tried a bullet the other day when I got my Dholakia samples, and I find them decent for public use and driving. The Old Man suggested I get some Toque bullets of my favorites for public use. He thinks it would be less bustworthy for me to use snuff in packaging with a tobacco name on there. It’s kind of backwater here.
Carol, the Toque and Dholakia bullets are refillable so you don’t need a lot of them.
Bernard and Poschl shmalzlers available from our favorite US dealers? That would be wonderful. I placed an order with snuffstore last night, but had a hard time deciding if I wanted more Bernards or QWS. I’d love to be able to get both in the same place. (Plus I really hate that pesky dollars to Pounds conversion)
Xander, yes I know. I was just thinking of getting a few bullets of my favorites to refill, so they would be labeled to ease my confusion. 
My hubs noticed that I tend to grab certain ones more than others, so he suggested I get some bullets of those. 
That sounds like blessings to make another order to me! I’m just waiting for the right time.
Re the automatik-boxes, I’ve been sent this info: They aren’t produced by Pöschl themselves any more. They’re produced by AKRA who produce all kinds of tobacco related products, like cigarette cases, lighters and such stuff. So, the distributors can´t order the box at Pöschl, which makes it highly unlikely they´ll list it at all, unless they order it directly at AKRA. But to get a good price they´d have to order quite some numbers and they don’t have anything else snuff related
So perhaps a full works tobacconist might sell them? Mars or My Smoking Shop maybe?
My Smoking Shop has them listed under Snuff Boxs. But, it looks as if there is no stock available. Maybe they will reorder. I sent them a message to see if they will be.
