I’m noticing that as I snuff longer and smoke less, my interpretations of snuff scents seems to be changing too. For example, I’m not getting a wet grain smell off the Toque base grind and any of the other lightly flavored Toque kinds. So much so that I can’t smell anything else once Original and Coke are in my nose, and others like SP Extra seem to finish with the scent. Is my nose going crazy, or have you guys had a similar phenomena happen? While it’s making some snuffs I previously enjoyed less desirable, I seem to be developing more appreciations of snuffs that I wasn’t too fond of earlier.
it’s your sense of smelling healing from the cigs.
Your senses do a lot of re-grouping and healing after smoking for a long time. If I ever have the occasional cigarette, which I’m fortunate enough to be able to do without getting back in to it, I can’t detect any aroma in snuff at all, or hardly any.
You need to be free of the smokes for a few weeks for your sense of taste to get back to normal, or as it was before you smoked.
