Apricot and Menthol

Apricot & Menthol is a new product from Wilsons - I believe it’s only been available since late 2011. Fresh from the tin, it’s quite thick and fairly moist, and as an enthusiast of Wilsons’ menthol snuffs of this type, I found it to be a very welcome addition to the range.

As expected, the menthol is relatively strong, but not overly so (unless you are a ‘menthol intolerant’ snuffer!) Compared to Poschl’s Gawith Apricot, I would say that Wilsons’ Apricot & Menthol has more menthol, and the apricot aroma is a lot sweeter, and arguably more instantly ‘apricoty’. Overall I prefer Gawith Apricot, but Wilsons’ own take on apricot and menthol is similiar enough, yet also distinctly different enough, to make it a damn good snuff in its own right.

I was surprised how much I like this. I’d say a noticeable hit of menthol, but not as much as most of the SM’s. To me the scent is fresher, maybe fruitier, yet less heavy than the Poschl.
