I always decant my snuff into airtight glass jars for storage. Recently a friend of mine (not into snuff) told me about a product that removes oxygen from containers of food for long term storage. He thought it might be something I could use for long term storage of snuff (see link below). What are others thoughts?

Personally I’d just keep in glass screw top jars. I do from small (like a shotglass with lid, to large for longterm storage) .
I’ve never tried what you posted though. But I’d worry on sucking out moisture too?

My main worry is that they’d also absorb moisture. As I understand it, they contain iron which absorbs oxygen by converting to iron oxide. If I remember my chemistry from school doesn’t that usually require mosture unless it’s at high temperatures? Or is that only the formation of rust?

If you decide to give it a go please post your experiences.
