I searched but I didnt find, I know it depends of the snuff, but anyone knows the medium content of nicotine in snuff?
Sorry, I posted in the wrong section, and I dont know how to move this post lol
Virginie Gekachelter - 0,85% Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert or Aecht (do not know exactly, just “schmalzler franzl”) - 0,72 % But it is just how much of tobacco is pure nicotine; it does not include bioavailability. For example: Subject has taken 50 spoons of WoS Mill Best Snuff in 85s: Whole research about nicotine intake: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1507093/pdf/bmjcred00678-0014.pdf
@braziliandipper I have moved the thread to general for you. Do you mean in a whole tin, or per pinch? If a whole tin, think a lot! You could only really measure it per gram or part of a gram, also the type of snuff means the nicotine will be released differently. What @Viertel has posted will give you some idea.
Thanks @Skell18 . And @Viertel, thanks for the information, now I have an idea of the nicotine content in snuff.
Actually I’d go one further and ask whether anyone knows the nicotine difference between a decent pinch of snuff in both nostrils versus two big drags on a cigarette? A lot of variables I know but interesting.
Lucky for you in Canada stating the nicotine content on tobacco products is a legal requirement and McChrystal’s has actually met that requirement. According to the label on the back of my tin McChrystal’s snuff is 3.4% nicotine.
Remember that, just like the alcohol in wine, the nicotine is not some added substance you can measure. It is naturally present in the tobacco plant, the amount also depends on growth, feeding, part of the plant etc.
