I’m going to be going down there next week and have already looked for tobacco shops in the area. Looks like there’s quite a few but none of their sites mention snuff or prices. Has anyone been to Pipes LTD or Tom’s tobacco emporium? Or are scorches still available in the grocery stores?
Check out Lowes, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter. When I go to NC those stores usually always have a decent selection of scotches in both pocket cans and thrift tumblers.
The Lowe’s is Lowe’s Food Stores
If only the home improvement store carried snuff…
@Slide that would make sense if they did. Scotches are great for when you have work in the house or hard. Thanks. I’ll be checking these places out. Are they just behind the counter with the smokes and all that? I’d hope to see them on display since my eyes are really bad and I hate trying to locate and point out the ones I want.
Most groceries in the South have one central area for tobacco.
Unfortunately my part of the south does not have any of those chains.
Really! Not just behind one counter? I can’t wait to check out NC. Asheville has only one busking law and that sets only sets a time frame. I love busking, especially because when I play in the streets I’m getting the best practice of my life while picking up a few bucks too.
Really! Not just behind one counter?
Actually that’s what I meant, behind one counter. It my area it will be by the managers office. Not one of the regular check out lanes. It’s like they must separate us tobacco users from the general population so we don’t exert a negative influence on them.
Sometimes it won’t be behind the counter. In some places they have a locked glass case near the registers where they keep the tobacco and you can look and just tell the cashier what you want when you go to check out.
As long as I get a close enough look to read the labels and see what size cans they have. I think I’m going to like it in NC. How hot is it down there? Even up here weve had days in the 90s this summer.
Just got back from NC. Stopped at ingles right before leaving and found a small selection, mostly thrift cans. I picked up all the ones available in 30g cans which were Square, Superior, and dental mild and sweet.
