Anyone else got this issue too

Hi, I’m new here on the forum and been snuffing for only a few months now. But I have a problem I think, I just can’t stop ordering this stuff. Received this week 2 packages one from Toque and one from Wilson Of Sharrow (including a 450 gram container). And already been adding to my whislist at an online shop. Anyone else got the same problem? Please step forward.

I’ve had that problem from day one. I’ve got way too much snuff. http://www.youtube.com/user/joesnuffer

Man… I’ve bought 18 different snuffs just in the last few days. It’s a “collector’s syndrome”.

Yes, we all go through phases. It’s called SAD (Snuff Acquisition Disorder) in the new DSM-V.

Lol, need to check my psychology books I guess.

TAD. Tobacco acquisition disorder. most of us have it, its what makes such a cheap tobacco product so expensive if you cant control it.

+1 on TAD. For some reason I always reserve that acronym for the pipe forums.

I think I also have TAD. only been snuffing a few months already have around 80 different snuffs and waiting on a toque order right now. Putting together my next mrsnuff cart. I’ll try and hold off ordering as long as I can. Just hard to resist.

I’ve definitely suffered from TAD but I think I’m in recovery. I’ve been snuffing for about a year and a half and at first I needed to try all kinds of different styles. Now that I have a good idea of what my likes and dislikes are my collection has reduced quite a bit. I now order the snuffs I like in larger quantities and throw in a few new ones that interest me.

Almost a problem for me, fortunately it’s pretty benign compared to some others I’ve had to deal with.

Ya we basically all have TAD, thats why we’re here

Lately I’ve caught myself looking at cigars, which I only smoke very rarely. I don’t need to start buying a bunch of those in addition to all the pipe tobacco and snuff.

I feel I’m fairly moderate with my SAD, I only have enough snuff to last me two or three years, yet at times I’m still tempted to make a purchase.

About 1500 dollars in 6 months of orders ( snuffing 6 months ) I calmed down a bit, ( but I am waiting on 20 new types from MS in mail ( can’t wait to try SWS mull of oa ) think I will chill abit, got way to much snuff … Got into Oliver twists tobacco bits , out now, but ones in that order… I don’t wanna try SNUS though… Lol Thank G~D … Snuff isn’t distributed on the black market only!!!

@ Mouse … Lol … .I hear ya

Most members of SnuffHouse have this issue in some form or another. My recent history: 1. Just received a Toque order and now getting ready to order 400 g of Natural Toast. 2. Awaiting a Mr. Snuff order of various 25g tins, and, once received will be followed up with a bulk order. 3. Just received a single Pat Collins snuff box. Now getting ready to pull the trigger on another triple tech and another single box. It never stops but it’s so much fun!

My snuff TAD is bad enough but now I’ve got snus TAD too and am thinking of buying a dedicated freezer to build a collection of snus. At least when I’m old and poor, I’ll never be without tobacco.

After getting been diagnosed with mental disorders on those Internets I googled (google alas I’m your slave) the term and I came across this post on a pipe smokers forum, modified it a bit to apply here. I’m only a level 2. But I wonder what your level is and the mods and adminb are, propably in the 8-12 range. Post some pics of yourself and your stash, I always love a good train wreck. I wonder, why do I feel the urge to create a new thread and ask who is my king? — Diagnosing TAD/SAD While Tobacco Acquisition Disorder and its more serious manifestation, Snuff Acquisition Disease, describe the characteristics of the malady, symptom severity can differ from individual to individual as the disease progresses. It would be in the interest of the snuff users community to more fully recognize and classify these variations to help snuffers analyze their specific health issues. We can improve only if we first admit we have a problem, or so they say. Level 1: A handful of tins has worn thin. An online sampler pack to try some different snuffs contains a few winners. You reorder too much of those tobaccos along with more samples. You have opted for a beginners sampler pack. Level 2: You have too much of some snuff that you once liked and not enough of some you have found that you now prefer. Your EPS sampler contains a large assortment of excellent snuffs, some you feel you have to have more of. You order extra quantities of these new snuffs and a few other tins recommended on the forums, to get free shipping. Level 3: The penny falls that entirely too much snuff is in inadequate packaging; your snuffing area (or even entire living quarters) has become littered with baggies and open tins that cannot possibly be finished before they go stale. You buy a case of preserving jars. Level 4: You have used up a case of preserving jars and learned that age improves some of the finer snuffs you’ve now encountered. You decide to buy some of these in bulk and cellar them. No online dealer has them all, so multiple orders are required, each order needing a little padding to get free shipping. You buy more preserving jars. Level 5: You have rather a lot of snuff, larger than necessary quantities of this and that plus things you wish you had tried earlier, so you decide to give some away to start a newbie off right (and get a tin of that Sir Walters Scott or Abraxas you’ve been wanting to try). You are now a TAD/SAD carrier, actively spreading the disease. Level 6: You have built, bought or dedicated a cabinet, shelf or desk to hold your collection of jars and tins and baggies. (This is frequently a syndrome parallel with PAD Level 6, where a pipes/tobacco ensemble is assembled.) You begin to photograph your snuff cellar. You spend too much of your spare time at snuffreviews.com, reading other people’s opinions of tobacco that you actually have but haven’t tried yet. You realize you are almost out of tissues, order a lot of them but not so many that you don’t need some of the SWS FoJ tins you are surprised to see in stock to get free shipping. Level 7: Some snuffs have eluded you. You begin watching for heads-up posts about their availability: 1. Quantities are limited, but you buy all you can and get a few more tins of this and that to get free shipping. 2. They have pounds in bulk, so you get a pound plus another pound of something else from the same manifactorer, say 6 Photo and a kicker of Toque-- and a tin or three of something to get free shipping. You realize that you will always need more preserving jars unless something is done. Descriptions of Levels 8-12 contain graphic material associated with Snuff Acquisition Disease proper, not suitable to a public forum.

I think I’m the only person here who doesn’t have this. I always snuff up everything I have before ordering more. The idea of having a hundred bucks’ worth of old stale snuff sitting around gives me nightmares. Though I’ll buy some bulk of my favorites one of these days.

Dear, like the intro says, you have first to admit you have a problem. I really like your tag picture though, my love.

Step 1 … We admitted we were powerless over TAD and our snuff collections became unmanageable… Step 2…FUCK The rest of the steps… I like it this way , I think I’ll go organize my snuff drawers and line up my rotation for the day…
