I just found about A+S snuff from Basel, Switzerland. Never heard of it before. It is produced and filled in Basel. Fine menthol snuff with a hint of roses.

New one to me, although it says only since 2013 on the tin, so I guess a lot don’t know it yet. Also a lot of snuff from Switzerland doesn’t seem to get known here. I think there are a number of small ones there. Good find!

A+S are the initials of the creators of this snuff: Cyril Andenmatten + Thomas Schaad.

Wonder if he is related to the Suchards family of Chocolate makers?

@BarkingLeopard‌ Happily! Since we produce only one product yet, its quite a short story. The A+S is a snuff of a unique style. Its not as fine powdered as english snuffs and quite moist. Its a very strong menthol snuff, similar to Covent and it has a pleasant tobacco taste. It is produced almost completely by hand in a pharmacy in Basel, Switzerland. As far as I know, we ore the only swiss snuff manufacturers.

I live in Switzerland and I’ve never seen that snuff on sale in a B&M shop here.
