Any suggestions on where to find replacement o-rings for snuff bullets in the USA?

O

Just like the title says does anyone have any suggestions on where to find replacement o-rings for snuff bullets in the USA? I found an add for 25 of the on Flea bay and it says one size fits all snuff bullets but I don’t know if this is correct or not? I have some metal snuff bullets like Toque sells that the o-rings are defective and I would to replace them and also have replacements for my other plastic bullets. I figured tomorrow I’ll check the auto parts stores, hardware stores, and the hobby shop where I live but I’ve also seen google and ebay suggest that tattoo and piercing shops might have them as the ones I need for my metal bullets are 5mm inside diameter and 2mm thick. I’d like to just pickup a handful of several sizes that should fit the 4 different types of bullets I have. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy snuffing. Steve

I would check your local hardware store. They should have o-rings in a multitude of sizes, one of which will likely work.

You can buy assortment trays for a few bucks

Thanks guys. I’ll post what I find and where I find them at just in case anyone else has my dilemma.

Outbackjack, I have a few ‘O’ Rings that we have left over from reject bullets. You’re welcome to them, if they are of any help.

Hardware stores are your best bet. It will save you a lot of $$.

Since you know the size, most tattoo parlours will work. You’d be looking for a 4 or 2 gauge o-ring if you go that route. 4g is 5.189mm in diameter, so if might be a bit small, with 2g being 6.544mm. You can generally buy 10 or so for $1 in the places I’ve seen. Hardware store might be cheaper, depends.

Well I tried several of the big name auto parts stores and found a few there that could be made to work but the prices were high at a buck a piece. Then I got lucky and found Danco 3/16" x 5/16" x 1/16" Rubber Faucet O-Ring they have to be stretched to fit but they’ll work. The price wasn’t that bad at $2.27+tax for 10 of them at Lowe’s they’re a bit bigger in diameter but can be made to work with the metal bullets. I checked 1 of the tattoo/piercing shops I’ll have to check the other 2 and the mom and pop auto parts shops and find out if anyone has a better price and size closer to what I need. Toque-Roderick that would be great if you could just toss them in with my order I’ll be placing tonight. Thanks, Steve.
