I’m planning a trip next year to Yorkshire and then a summer long hike of Scotland. I would love to talk to any members from Scotland.

My great grandpa was from Scotland. I know, this doesn’t help.
My great (x21) grandpa was Lord of the Isles. Does that help?
Mr Snuff is in Scotland.Dont know where but i think he posted it on here somewhere. Maybe pick up a few free samples.
I live in London but I spent some years living in Scotland; my ex and our daughter still live there. Where do you plan on going Saucy Jack? I used to work for Scottish Power so my work took me all over Scotland and might be able to tell you a few nices places to visit.
I’m Scottish, but in common with most Lowlanders I’ve not visited the land of the Teuchters very often so I can’t help with the Highlands. But since you’re going for a “summer long” visit, there is something I can heartily recommend. Spend some time in the southwest and do some hiking in the Galloway Forest Park and the surroundings. The vast majority of tourists head straight for Glasgow and Edinburgh and head north and this area is like the forgotten corner of Scotland. The scenery - with lakes, rivers and rolling hills - is every bit as attractive as the Lake District of England which is just to the south, but it attracts a fraction of the tourists. It’s fairly remote and uninhabited, to the extent that it was recently given the highest possible award by the Dark Sky Associaton, the only area of Britain to achieve this - news report here. I spent part of my childhood in the area and even in the height of summer it was remarkably easy to find a picnic spot or even a nice beach where you wouldn’t see another soul all day. Couple of brochures here and here.
