Has anybody ever heard of this snuff? Know who manufactures it? It is available out of Hong Kong…that is all I know for now. Here’s a picture:

Can’t make anything out on the label, but I suspect that it might be a Portuguese made snuff. If so, this a real find. I’ve read that the real Amostrinho was the last of the old Portugal snuffs sold on the Chinese market.
Looks like “angel’s dust” to me. Same as my KarooStof (Karoo dust)
What is the connection between this snuff and Hong Kong?

I don’t actually own it. It was sent by a client looking to buy some more. I like the Portuguese idea. If it is available in HK it may be that it was brought in from Macau…hence the Portuguese connection. I will try ot get a better picture.

Imagine it might be one of the last of the old-line Han snuffs. There are still a very few Han Chinese snuff-takers out there. Given that it’s available in HK, though, it might also be medicinal. I’ve asked around to the one or two Kowloon folk I know, and they never heard of it, and were in fact stunned to learn that people still took snuff at all.

This is a really old thread. The photo did not survive the transfer to the new Snuffhouse. Filek must have gotten some new information on this. If I recall, the package photo had no English on it.

Ah, it’s a Bernards product. The 2 keys give it away.
I assume Bernard doesn’t make this anymore…? If there is anyone who has tried this snuff, speak up! I’d love to hear about it. It sounds, “Heavenly” . (Excuse the stupid pun)

My understanding is it is one of six snuffs produced for the Asian, specifically the Chinese, market. I can get it, but only in bulk, or in these large bottles by special order. However, I am not sure which one Angelic is since I received samples of said snuffs with number references only. If there is an interest I can make further inquiries. Dave
