I was at the local smoke shop picking up a bag of Stokers chew and a few pipe tobaccos and commented I was surprised to see how often they rotate out the chews, most places it sits forever but this is why I go to this place. Anyhow she mentioned that the “snuff” was going to no longer be produced - when I asked if it was Swisher she said “no, Dental and the others - American Snuff Co”

So not that this is surprising news to anyone, and I haven’t heard any official word, but maybe now’s the time to stock up if ya can, fellas! (Good thing I have one or more of each ha ha ha)

It’s all but impossible to get any of the American made nasal snuff around where I live. I’ve been told either I have to order a whole case, or just flat out, no, they can’t get them.

Yeah, the cost is actually insane, so it’s not worth it for them to buy a whole case just to sell 1 or 2. Pretty silly all in all what have you with the government PACT regulations. I think companies are wising up on whole cases of things because now Red Man makes 6-count boxes.

When I contacted Swisher about all this, they cited the PACT Act as well. Not a fan. I’m kicking myself for not trying them ( American snuffs ) years ago when I saw them available on Mr. Snuff. I just assumed that since they were American, and I live , in America, that I would have all the time in the world to try them out. I’m trying to get my few friends that drive Semi-trucks to keep an eye out for them when they travel down South. Fingers crossed they can find some.

I kick my own ass as well about the fact that i never did stock up on them all. I have a can Red Seal and a can of Butterscotch and i have a strong feeling that these are the last cans i will ever have of any kind of “american dry snuff”.

It’s a shame.
