Hello, all. I’ve been a snuff user for about a decade. Until recently, I used to get my snuff online. However, as May 1 approaches, I need to be able to find my Scotch, American snuff locally. Does anyone know of any Rite Aids/CVSs/grocery stores around Baltimore that sell snuff? I’d even be willing to drive into Charlestown, WV, if need be. Thanks and keep snuffin.
Well you can find scotch snuff at the food lion stores. I am sure you can find some scotch in the Baltimore area. Or you can be like me, order your snuff from overseas and Maryland Governor O’Malley can go pound sand! You still have two weeks man! And private trades are OK. Be a rebel - The Food Lion store south of interstate 70, on 65, just south of Hagerstown has all the Scotch you could carry, and if you drive into West Virginia, as I always do, a can of Scotch is $11.79 (5 oz), you can save a lot more because of the much lower taxes, and you can save money and deprive that SOB in Annapolis his spending money. That is a win win for me! I am an angry and motivated citizen now! Good Luck! The madness is spreading, freedom is an illusion.
Hey, Whalen. That’s exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. Let me ask you, do you know of any places in WV that sells dry snuff from 70 en route to Charlestown? I run through the twin highways right there in Harper’s Ferry. Any advice on specifics would be appreciated, because I’m trying to figure it all out. I’m going to check out the Food Lions around here, too. Thanks for the tips!
from Google maps: Tobacco Barrell 3834 East Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD (410) 534-4600 Category: Tobacco Shop I have personally visited this location and they have a good selection of scotches. Nothing I can’t find in Delaware, so I didn’t buy anything.
@minux - Good info from Xander there, there is a well stocked Food Lion on the south side of the divided highway in Charles Town, South side of highway from Wallmart. I guess I am lucky in that I have four to chose from within 10 miles. West Virginia prices are so darn low though, the 1.15 cans are $3.19. They have 11 different kinds, I listed them some time ago, I will see if I can dig that up. I personally support all tobacconists, But Maryland just moved the MD ones on my boycott list. Principle of the thing.
Thanks a million yall! Xander, it’s great to know I can get my fix locally. Whalen, it’s great to know I can get a mega fix, when I want to do a long haul!
Shoot me a PM ahead of time whenever, and I will meet you as a tour guide, bring you a frosty home brew. Although after the home brew it will be a long drive home! Are you in Baltimore proper?
Hey, Whalen, that would be fantastic of you, actually! And, no, I’m in the suburbs, right to the West, in old Ellicott City. That would be really cool to meet a fellow snuffer and the advice on where to go and all would be greatly appreciated. I really will take you up on your offer!
Cool! And I really like Ellicott City! I like that funky old town, reminds me of a miniature Austin! Feel free to contact me, I have plenty of time on my hands. I was just at the Food Lion staring at the snuffs. Dental, Navy, Lorilllards Sweet, Peach, Standard, W.E. Garrett, Honey Bee, Society, Tube Rose, and that is the limit of my short term memory! I will update on Monday, I go in for bananas on Monday, its a gym thing. They have a lot of Lorillards sweet for some reason, these were all the large cans, I will try to get a feel for the small cans. I was looking at the chaw and chew selection, although I only snus.
Whalen, that is just nuts they have such a great selection! I have never seen a can of any of those snuffs around here. About five years ago, the local B&M did stock Wilsons of Sharrow, but that must have ended three years back or so, unfortunately. When I am free, I’m free, which is great. I currently work and go to school. Certain days, though, I’m pretty open. We’ll work something out. I always like shooting up to WV.
