Now i feel inadequate, i used those paint contaniers for a time.
If they work they work! I think it would be sillier to have a £10,000 snuff box instead of a good cheap acrylic container. I can appreciate the beauty of these, especially the first and last ones, but personally I would still choose a nice simple natural wooden snuff box over the fancy ones. But I’m still looing for the perfect one my tins atm suffice.
I’d buy the just a pinch one in a heartbeat. (Up to a certain price…)

Has anyone ever thought to commission a snuffbox from a local jeweler or silversmith?
I would really like to see a snuffhouse approved box for us all to buy!! Preferably in some unusual yet affordable material…maybe nickel plated brass or paper mache…hmmmm
The ‘Just a Pinch’ one is $30 to $40.Just a Pinch tin I think it’s just the lid though and it’s made for copenhagen snuff. There’s similar ones here where the base is sold seperately. : Base You can get it elsewhere as silver & gold too :Here
It looks like it’s made for skoal/copenhagen so it just pops on the top of that and serves as the lid. I guess you can just put anything in there but I’m not sure of the size of it other than it comes in 2 different sizes.

Yeah I was just updating it as you wrote that. I guess you can put anything in there but it looks like it’s made as a lid for skoal & copenhagen snuff.
I personaly find the just a pinch lid pretty offensive. If the woman had a diffrent expression on here face otherwise then looking like oh “f###” I’d think it was cool. Just my opinion.
They’re described as “comical cowboy themes”, stereotypical drunk cowboy I guess for that one, and they are a bit tongue in cheek The ones in the ‘base’ link are similar but without that blue.

Many years ago, I aquirred a brass box that I later found out was made in sweden and it was made by a company called BO-STROM. I love this little guy. A few months ago, I found a clone on ebay. Two lids, one on the bottom, one at the top. (or other side) both lids look the same. heres the deal;, the bottom lid opens and there is a mirror. I got mine for around fifty five. some seller had one up for eight hundred bucks! No matter what kind you get I suggest getting these little Humi things that are filled with green foam. i never had a box dry up.
P.s. Years ago, my mother gave me a pewter box. Round. made by comoys. On the front lid was a cross with a rose. The box was "borrowed " and sold. Please let me know if you ever see it

you know there is only so much gold. What I’am saying is more of it should be for snuff boxes.
I agree bob. Just wish I could afford one. Right now I could safely bid since it’s worth much more in gold value alone.
