I was at the MIL’s house for the past four days during Christmas and thought that I had come prepared with two medium sized screw top pill bottles filled with SWS Pontrefract Priory and OM 2015 Winter Solstice. Well it turns out that I was wrong and found that on the last day I had to really ration out my last bit of OM Solstice. The SWS was completely gone and I wanted to have at least four pinches for the long flight back home. I won’t make that mistake again. Next time I come with two of the stainless 1oz round Toque flasks and a couple of bullets of Toque USA Whiskey and Honey. That should have me covered.
Any time I leave home it’s with around 100 grams in various containers, that’s just a work shift with a few containers in my coat. Last time I went to visit the in laws for a few days I took a month supply, then ended up finding dry snuff at the tobacco store by them and bought a ton of different snuffs, probably half a pound. Hehe I’m like a snuff boy scout- always be prepared!
Ha I think that is a mistake we all make ONCE lol I have a bag that filled with 10+ tins, a Peterson pipe pouch with 2 pipes and their accessories, 2 jars of pipe tobacco, and a little travel humidor. The insider zipper pouch ill load with Snus right before I leave. My wife calls it my “purse” and makes sure I do not leave without it. Believe it or not I can go without tobacco, which I do every once and a while to cleanse. But when heading out, there is nothing worse then finding a perfect time for a pinch or a smoke and then have nothing with you!
Honestly, I’m all agog at how much snuff you guys can put away!
@fj1988 I used to think it was impossible how much snuff it seemed people consumed when I first started reading snuffhouse. A tin would last me forever and I still barely saw the bottom, but it creeps up on you and before you know it… One of us, one of us… Lol
786 Eek! Close call @larry_90066! Yea, I always leave home with at least two full snuffboxes and a bullet, and that’s just for going to the store.
These days I rarely leave the house with anything less than 200 grams. A couple of years back I went on an adventure holiday in Norway. 7 or 8 days into a 21 day holiday the canoe got wrecked on rocks and I had to make camp in the middle of nowhere. I had about 100 grams of snuff on me which I murdered for the first few days. When I had about 50 grams left (Toque Quit) I decided to make a tobacco suppository and walk to the nearest town back the way I had come, about 4 days walk. So I wrapped the 50 grams or so into a bit of torn off T-shirt and tied the ends, like a teabag. Anyhow I plugged it in my rectum and started walking. It only took me 2 days to reach the town in the end and I put that fortune down to the tobacco. If I had had 200 grams I probably would have made it in 1-1.5 days.
:))
Lemme guess, you broke your nose and busted your lip and since you needed your eyes to see that only left one possible route of administration right? Right?! lol
I always have at least a week’s worth in my briefcase/backpack/truck and a day’s worth in my pocket. Never have to worry about it.
I would have to pack a separate suitcase to carry my tobacco. Fortunately I don’t travel to see relatives.
786 @dan11, considering the, umm, stimulating properties of tobacco I’m surprised that it remained in its, umm, new home for two days!
I’m sorry that happened to you, but that tale is hilarious.
The truth is that I was pretty drunk when I wrote that, it’s a completely made up story, I’ve never even been to Norway…
