My last order from Mr. Snuff included a new snuff box…to be specific, a Ochre Orange Snuffhouse Snuff Box. For my use, it is perfect for carry as I use the dossing orifice on the end of the box to dispense my favorite mix if 6 Photo snuff…at least until this morning when the sliding end plate came off. I discovered one of the small retaining tabs on the underside (2 large tabs and 2 small) had broken off rendering the box useless. When I got home from work I dumped the contents of the box into a bowl and located the broken tab. That little orange tab does seem to stand out in brown snuff. By its appearance, the tab may have left the factory in a weakened condition. I had nothing to lose so I spent a few minutes this evening with a tube of super glue and tweezers and after an appropriate set up time the newly super glued tab survived snapping the sliding end onto the box. So far so good, and the box is again working as intended. I thought I would pass this on as these boxes are fairly new. Hopefully, this was just a fluke but it’s something to keep in mind should the end of your box become loose.

This happened to me, but the fault was entirely my own. About a 3 foot drop on to a hard tile floor popped the tab right off. Surprisingly, that was the only damage and still it works pretty well, I just have to be careful not to fiddle with it too much in my pocket.

I had a similar problem; nothing snapped off, but the sliding end was exceptionally loose and I would lose snuff through the cracks. Eventually I decided to seal off that entire end and use it solely for pinching.

Any plastic item you use 20+/- times a day is bound to fail, That is why I carry five. I have a good variety and rotate through my stock . Good save though @ Citra47 regular folk would had trashed it.

@basement_shaman, I intend to get a couple more of the boxes but if I tried to carry five at one time I would probably go into nic withdrawal trying to remember what pocket the snuff box I wanted was in.
