I’ve been snuffing for 2 months now and have accumulated and used 24 different snuffs.  Each day I use maybe 2-3 different snuffs according to what I feel sounds good to me at the time.  I do keep going back to a couple of them over and over again and neglect several of them.  What I’m wondering is if the old pros among you pretty much stick to one snuff all day and every day.  Kind of like sticking to one brand of cigarettes, cigars, or pipe tobacco.  If so, what is yours?  If I had one snuff to pick right now it would be OM Butternut Toast.

Not an old pro by any means (only a year and bit). My all day is mcchrystals original and genuine.

Usually I’ll pick a number of different snuffs to use in any given day but on days where I do hit one or two- White Elephant and anything by Old Mill, sometimes I’ll spend a day on HDT or SG dark Kendal varieties. 9 times out of 10 I’m snuffing maybe 5-10 diff snuffs in the same day

I have dailies that I rotate through, pretty much load a day of any certain type into a 5 gram tube and take that all day. Today is NC Madras

F&T HDT, G&H IRISH D, VIKING BLONDE & VIKING MENTHOL go like every day. same goes for NTSU Black since it is the first snuff nearly every day i take before i enter the shower.

G&H CM and recently I have been loading a box with Toque Rustica for when work gets frantic

I will always have WoS Jockey Club - it has its own dedicated snuff box and it’s the one I always carry. Most likely there will be some sort of SP in addition - it’s Tom Buck at the moment - and there is always Sternecker Echt Fresko within reach. Otherwise it’s pretty random…

I been mixing up snuffs I wouldn’t use all day into something I can. It has been a successful venture so far. I think the mango is headed for the bin. unless I find something that balances it out, but it doubtful. 

I have only tried 11 snuffs thus far and am a newbie but when I first tried McChrystal’s Anisette I knew i found an all day snuff I cannot imagine ever being out of love with.  Its cloying sweet aroma just makes my whole nose sing with delight. 

I enjoy almost all snuffs and rotate among different ones when I’m home. But when I’m out and about/working it’s always White Elephant and even at home I use it pretty often.

Its dryness and fineness make it clean to use because it doesn’t make much mucus and whatever is on your nose/face/hands can easily be wiped/blown away. It also has a great natural scent and is pretty strong.

I’ve got a few I rotate at work. In my desk: Bernard’s Fichtennadel, Dholakia Taj, and Rumney’s Export. At home, I think I have about 15 or so I hit depending on my moods/cravings.

My mainstay is usually White Elephant, otherwise i use a lot of Bernards menthols, polar prise, amostrinha, jubilaums or  w/e the spelling is on that one lol. Rosinski and Old Mill are used at least several times throughout the day but they’re all so damned good that no mainstay can be found amongst either brand. You can’t go wrong with any offering from those gentleman.

I stick to one snuff all day, but not every day. I keep 4-6 snuffs in my rotation (one each day).

McChrystal’s Clove is another all-day favorite for me. both this and anisette I shall stock up on shortly.

I’m not sure I have an everyday snuff, but the two that come closest are probably  SG Plum and Toque Lime Toast.  Can’t imagine two that would be much more different than these two are, but between them, they seem to answer any craving.  (And when they don’t, the Molens Musinotobak is usually the answer!)

Just recently, I’ve been getting out of my comfort zone of using  different snuffs all day and been visiting snuffs I have in the collection and sticking mostly to that one for the day. But usually I am all over the globe with my snuff consumption. America, Africa , Europe and India.

There is no wrong way to use up your stash. It is the best fresh. So by all means if you like a new freshly opened tin use it up while fresh or at lease put a big dent in it before storing away for a later time. 

I collected so many snuffs I could do one a day and not see it again for over a year. And I will forever have enough for a few life times. Do I want to try more? Yes everyday.

Never would I consider myself a pro but I have worked myself into a nice easy habit oops hobbie! Monday through Friday is Elmo’s Reserve and HDT #22, sometimes together (but never mixed outside of the nostril), all day. At night before bed it is something from Old Mill ( doesn’t matter what, they are all good). Saturday and Sunday I stay with the Old Mill collection but Elmo’s and HDT #22 are always in my pocket. Pure Virginia Toast from OM is a fantastic all day Saturday snuff. Would it be shameful of me to wonder aloud about whats cooking in the lab at OM to replace the dearly departed Dreamcatcher?

For a few months I switched from Kailash to 6 Photo Special, now I’m back to Kailash.

Before I discovered 6 Photo, it was Ozona President.

I don’t usually rotate between that many snuffs per day, but if I had to pick only one as an all day snuff it would have to be F&T’s HDT. It would also be my desert island/one way trip to Mars/journey to the center of the Earth snuff…

Viking Dark. Incredibly easy to take, good nicotine and amazing flavour. Wish I could get the damn lid off without a fight though.

With Viking Dark tins I use a smallish screwdriver. Stick it in, give it a twist. You will hear the air go in as it is vacuum packed. Then it opens easily. I then immediately transfer the contents to an airtight glass jar. 

This is a tough question.  That said, when I’m doing a “single snuff day,” there’s no question it’s Old Mill Pure Virginia Toast.

Poschl Bayern for me,  Also the most popular for casual snuffers I know who have a pinch of my snuff now and then,

I’m done with all the crazy experimenting, buying bloody great pots of stuff my nose can only tolerate occasionally, and which is past it’s prime before I even reach the halfway mark. It was fun, but right now I prefer to reach for a snuff which I know will sit well in my nose and put a smile on my face. I also like to just carry one box/tin when out and about. Thankfully, there are several snuffs I can fall back on, and know that one snuff will get me through the day very happily. Here are my all day primary choices … Toque: Berwick Brown WoS: Best Dark GH: Any of the KBs, and Ambassador Viking: Dark Jaxons: SP Premium SG: KBs, London Brown (+ see Viking and Jaxons) F+T: Princes, Princes Special The other all day snuffs I’ll use sometimes are mixers. Take a base of Viking Brown or Thors Hammer, or Toque Plain Coarse and add a bit of GH Dry orange or Cherry, or SG Firedance, or Celtic Talisman. On their own, the flavours can be a bit much for all day use, but as a modifier or toned down with a plain snuff, they’ll see me through the day just fine. However, whilst I could stick with some of these exclusively and be very happy. I do however still like to have the occasional pinch of something else when kicking about at home though. The occasional fun pinches tend to be the WoS or Toque fruities, SG or Toque toffee or vanilla, WoS Thyme and Lemon (very nearly an all dayer), F&T Santa Domingo and Old Paris … and the very occasional minty or menthol for maintenance purposes. As my stash thins out naturally over time due to use or spoilage, I expect to settle into about 5 or 6 all day snuffs, and about 10 to 15 occasional fun snuffs, though in fairness I could survive quite happily on a sole diet of Berwick Brown or Best Dark or any one of the (Kendal made) Kendal Browns. There’s probably 40 or 50 snuffs in my collection I’ll not bother replacing once they’ve gone. Not because there’s anything wrong with them necessarily, I just know that when I open the drawer I’ll keep reaching for me something else instead. I’ve found my comfort zone and intend to wallow in it :))

I’m changing my choice(s).  I can’t seem to go without WoS Grand Cairo nowadays.  SO freaking good, and the perfect nicotine strength for me.
