Has anyone tried the Alfred Sternecker snuffs? I have a cart full of stuff at Rajeks that I was thinking about ordering before I’m not allowed to here in the US. Most of it’s snuff I haven’t tried, but I have found reviews @snuff reviews.com for most everything I was considering. Except this Alfred Sternecker stuff. There are a few different varieties and if you have an opinion on their quality I would be interested to hear it before I order 50-100g of unknown snuff. Those are all Schmalzlers if you like this type of snuff you should get them. I think they make some of the best Schmalzlers.
I have them sitting in my cart at Rajek’s too. Its going to be a few months more before I can do anymore orders though.
I’m worried that if we wait a few months we won’t be able to order. But, I don’t want to panic, as it is it will be years before I run out of snuff.

Relax 'nugen. No need for panic yet. Besides, you’ll have plenty of notice, as the questionable bill (if passed) takes 90 days to go into effect. Hopefully it will die in comittee, and never reach the full senate. Its very early stages now. I think I have years supply too, but those Sterneckers do look so nice over there… (must keep control)
@ermtony I completely missed that, I was on there looking for them last night. The Rajek website says Alfred Sternecker, so I probably completely missed them under Ludwig. thanks @Xander-I’ll try to chill. I just spent 95 bones thursday night ordering a bunch of snuff from the UK snuff shop. Not to mention I’m expecting another 10 cans (10g) from toque that I ordered Sunday night, before I even knew about the bill. I just started snuffing about six months ago and It’s just that there is so much stuff out there I haven’t tried. For me snuff has been a positive thing as my use of copenhagen and other oral tobaccos has been drastically reduced. Now I just can’t imagine having this pleasure taken away from me. I actually took the time to contact all 19 committee members, even though only one is from my state.
Alfred is the current owner. Ludwig (Alfred’s grandfather I believe) was the founder of the company.
I know how you feel. I went a little “order mad” too, especially between February and April. Just so many different ones to try. Now its time to sit on it for ahwhile and work it down. I’m glad you took the time to write. I think it will do some good. I’m a little worried too, but there’s still plenty of time to nip this thing in the bud. The pipe smokers surely outnumber us and have lots of organizations. I’m sure they are already on the move. Perhaps someone who is also a member of a pipe forum will drop in and update us.
