Has anybody tried this? Looks like fine dry green nasal snuff of Pakistani or Kashmirian origin.

Can’t help you with weight, but given its origin and color I would make the supposition that it is powdered Dokha. A sundried fine tobacco smoked on the down low in many parts of the Arabic world. If you’re interested in its parent product

Thanks for the link, Zan, some beautiful pipes there. Almost wish I was a smoker still. I have some dokha (very small amount), got it as a present right after the moment I took decission to quit smoking completely. I could grind it and try sniffing it, but I promissed it as a treet to my brother.

J&H Wilson Medicated No. 99 is almost twice stronger in nicotine than J&H Wilson SP No. 1, i.e. 7100 mg/kg vs 4200 mg/kg. I haven’t tried No. 99 yet, so can’t compare the feeling. pH data would tell us a lot more about potency, though.
For instance, according to ntpd, F&T Santo Domingo contains only 1490 mg, but it feels quite satisfying nic-wise. This makes me guess F&T SD pH is signifficantly higher than J&H Wilson.
Alamgeer snuff contains even more nicotine than maklas (1.4% vs 1.14%). Considering the traditional wide usage of slaked lime in some other smokeless tobacco products (naswar and nasal snuff) of the same region, Alamgeer seems likely to be the N-bomb.

Isn’t it just branded as snuff for it to be easier distributed in European countries? I don’t know how it is in other EU countries, but in the Polish law it’s way much easier to import tobacco products which are already well known (ciggarets, cigars, snuff, pipe tobacco) and less documents are needed in the process. While the so called “new forms of tobacco” not known in Europe need to be tested, analyzed, more import documents are needed, etc.

 Pathans exclusively use naswar which is a kind of moist snuff kept in the lower lip for extended periods of time.Since snus and moist snuff are banned in Europe , snuff powder from India and Pakistan is imported to make home made naswar.

I had a customer from Germany who bought large quantities from us in 500g packs specifically for this purpose.

Verisimilar, indeed. Just googled through images of naswar, colour-wise it looks the same. I guess one should mix it with some water before using it.

Got a reply from the vendor regarding product weight and usage. “Most Asian people add small amounts of water make small balls and use it as orally”. So, just like @sixphoto assumed, this snuff powder is used by consumers to make naswar.
