Ive been snuffing for a year now and at first the tendency was to snort it. Abandoning that when I joined this site and read on technique I sniffed it so lightly it got in my nose but concentrated in the space under my nostrils but still in my nose. The other day I took a sniff of SP extra sharply but not too sharply in each nostril. Got a better nicotine rush and way less in the visible interior of my nose. What were some of your Ahah moments like?

One ahah moment for me was when I went a whole eight hours without snuff at work and then when I got to my truck took the little bottle full of Levi Garrett and poured a big fat line on the back of my hand then snuffed it like there was no tomorrow, sinuses and all. It was one of the best rushes I’ve had from snuff.

('ahah, I don’t always have to snuff like a dandy, I can be an American snuffing American snuff.")

First schmaltzer was Ahhhhhh - nice.

Mine was when I started taking big pinches instead of small, and discovered snuff at that moment. Before, with my little itty bitty scared pinches I just really liked the thought of it, really wanted to get into it but never seemed to get beyond an unpleasant burning, spluttering sensation. The first whopper pinch I took I realised It could really give cigarettes a serious run. I found the true flavour and nicotine dose to be liberating beyond words because I was one of those smokers who really hated smoking in the end and stopping was becoming a major obsession, and having not the merest jot of willpower I could never stop. The second I got that wound up, depressed feeling from withdrawal I would run out, at whatever hour it was, and get 20 Marlboro red. All NRT did was make me want a cigarette, a determined day of snuffing great, luscious pinches of snuff and the rest was…maybe not quite history immediately, but very soon after. I have used snuff on and off for a great many years but it was Snuffhouse and Toque that made me realise I had only ever tolerated snuff, not used it.

My difficulty with big pinches is from my small hands. My skinny fingers are great for guitar playing, but not big pinches, though I can take pinches at least as big as a pea and almost the surface area of a baked bean.

spoons! That’s a great thing about spoons makes it easy to take large amounts. It’s easier to see how much you’re taking at any time.
