Back in Los Angeles my blood pressure was very high. Went back to cigs which flipped my doctor out but he took my BP and it was as close to normal as I have been decided to do some checking. suggest the following for all interested http://www.henriettesherbal.com/eclectic/potter-comp/nicotiana.html My sense of humor seems lost (I can hear the sighs of relief). Not under my bed where lost items usually show up but a cat I thought lost 30 years ago showed up and immediately scratched me… any snuffs known for humor content?
Try some Bohica, you’ll laugh so hard you’ll cry.
My dad had pretty bad hypertension a few years ago but he’s been doing mindfulness/meditation more seriously and it’s down to the lower 130s, even though he still smokes and drinks like he used to.
Additional benefits of snuffing? Everyone.
Prevents Parkinson’s, prevents and can help treat Alzheimer’s, can help some people with depression and anxiety (the studies used nicotine patches), improves cognition and, at least in the short-term, athletic performance (they had cyclists cycle with and without nicotine patches, but idk whether regular users experience any benefits or detriments).
@horus92, wow, I didn’t know. I’ve only heard that it helps people with schizophrenia, because it helps fill a debt of serotonine.
Ah yes that too, though incidentally the mechanism isn’t well understood. A friend of a friend has schizophrenia and he tried to quit smoking and ended up in the psych ward. Schizophrenia - hell even depression - aren’t caused by neurotransmitter deficits/imbalances, that’s an outdated theory based on the observation that drugs like SSRIs and antipsychotics that can raise neurotransmitter levels/agonize/antagonize receptors can be effective treatments (there’s an interesting article here: http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2012/01/23/145525853/when-it-comes-to-depression-serotonin-isnt-the-whole-story).
