I’m a big fan of the WoS Natural, but sometimes it’s a little dry for me. I put a tin in a jar w/ a wet paper towel, and covered the jar with another wet paper towel. I’ve been stirring it every 30ish minutes, and it’s not moist enough for my taste yet. Anyone else do anything like this? Would adding .5ml(less?) or so of an oil be a good way to add moisture? I’d probably use coconut oil (add a little flavor too!) if that would work. Update - After about 3 hours in the jar the WoS is more moist than what I started with. Not as moist as I’d hoped for, but overnight should do the trick.
Often when a 25g tin of something I like get’s to less than half full I will add some moisture back in. My method is to take a small empty and clean 5g WoS tin, fill it with cotton from a cotton ball. I wet the cotton, place it in the small tin, and nestle the smaller empty tin in the middle of the 25 gram tin and close the 25g tin up. Overnight it will often absorb more moisture than it had originally, which is fine as it tends to dry out fast when you have so little snuff in such a large empty volume. When done, remove the small tin, and give your snuff a shake. The damp snuff on the surface will mix into the snuff that was buried and in short time rehydrate the whole thing. A more robust version would be to take some of that green oasis foam that florists use ( can usually be found in craft stores ) cut it to fit inside a clean and empty 5g WosTin. On the lid of the 5g tin, punch several small holes. wet the foam, close it up and now you have a tiny humidifer which can be placed directly inside a larger 25g tin. I’ve also come up with some variations that use magnets and such, but any introduction of something damp in dry snuff will rehydrate the snuff. The longer you leave it, the damper the snuff gets.
