am about to order just one 10g tin of Toque USA and noticed it says about the menthol notes, do they all have menthol to them?
Also do they burn your nose?
I love the burn
Thanks in advance :)

Which Toque USA are you asking about specifically? I ask because it’s a whole line, and they’re all different.
Yeah, The Silver Dollar range is a little bit different. For example I know that Silver Dollar Raspberry is a combination of Toque Raspberry menthol and Toque Raspberry. Alot of the Fruits have a little bit of menthol added in it, not heavy menthol fairly light. All your naturals and originals are not mentholated. I have had a little bit of experience with Toque just not alot with Silver Dollar, not because I dont like them simply because I like 25g tins rather than 5gs. Toque are great snuffs and defiantly worth getting!
@Tekno which ones out of the Silver Dollars are you wanting to get?
Also it is worth trying the Toque snuffs if you haven’t had a chance yet.
I’ve only had the toque usa lime. It’s medium grind and moisture with a bit of menthol. I get a little bit of a burn.
@aamon i’ve only been lucky enough to try the xmas pudding from toque so far have ordered 10g of whiskey and honey toqueUSA and 10g of blueberry toque
the website just made it sound as though it’l all be like gawiths apricot and i find that the most unsatisfying snuff ive had the pleasure of taking
“ToqueUSA is a German snuff style popular in the USA. A moist nasal snuff of a more Germanic type, but with a more subtle hint of menthol. Some are on a Germanic oiled base, one is blended with Nicotiana Rustica (whiskey & Honey) and the rest are on a traditional medium lightly moistened base.”
@Tekno I feel the same way about Poschl snuffs, to me they feel like candy snuffs. I never get that aristocratic, upperclass snuff feel from these as I do with alot of the other manufactures like Samuel Gawith and the likes.
I am not too sure if I would consider the Silver Dollar range a German style snuff, From my experience I believe all Toque is water based and uses nothing but natural ingredients. My nose does not like oil based snuffs and I get a noticeable reaction from these, though I have never had an issue with Toque snuffs.
Maybe @Roderick could clear this up, and hopefully hear from him in his own words the difference between Toque, and Toque Silver Dollar. I would also like to know whether the Toque W&H is the snuff loaded with Rustica or the Silver Dollar W&H, from the reviews there seems to be quite a difference between these two.
yeah i’ve gone for the Toque USA W&H as apposed to silver dollar or normal toque, also got blueberry on the way! very excited to try it.

I started on silver dollar, I’m glad I tried toque and toque usa snuff. I find those to be much better than the silver dollar. Toque usa is nothing like the poschls gawith apricot. Much less menthol and the lime one smelled like an actual lime, not the artifical lime scent. How Rodrick gets his scents dead on will be a mystery.
Toque and WoS are definitely my favourites so far.
This will be my first try of the USA range.
I wonder why they dont sell 10g tins of the Silver dollar stuff.
would actually pack up my whole life and move to work for either of them.
*cough cough* @Roderick ;)
So far from Toque USA I’ve tries W&H, Lime, Peach and Wild Berry. Any menthol present is only a hint. The flavours are very nice. Yes, they are fairly candy like, but since the majority of my collection are plain/unscented snuffs it’s nice to have a bit of variation. They wouldn’t be all day snuffs for me, but certainly have their place.
I doubt you’d be disappointed with any of the above.
Wild berry is on my list to buy next time!
would you mind explaining the scent a bit as am very curious!
just the colour of the tin does make my mouth water a bit haha!
thanks!
Well I wouldn’t be an expert on berries, but I just took a pinch and I get fruits of the forest with a top note of something like strawberries. I don’t detect any menthol but that might be just me, the tin is several months old and slightly dried out compared to when it was new. Still very nice! I find all the USA line scents to be fairly long lasting too. Sure for the price of the 10g tins you can’t go wrong really!
It’s the USA W&H which is Rustica based. Very popular and with good reason. You will not be disappointed @Tekno! It’s much harder hitting than you’re average Toque. It actually signalled the beginning of my love affair with Rustica, which I now buy in its pure form from Toque (economy bags). Very good for blending with other snuffs to send the nic levels through the roof I like the regular W&H just as much, as well as USA Kentucky Bourbon. You really can’t go wrong with Toque, regular or USA. I’m about to explore their Silver Doller line, starting with Scotch.
The menthol in the USA line is faint when it’s used (bravo!). In fact, I only notice it in the Peach.
