Ladies and Gentlemen of Snuffhouse, I have no doubt that it was in part a discussion that I was involved in on these boards that prompted the request for new moderators. That discussion has been closed, and the discussion has continued amicably and respectfully via PM. I hope that my comments were not seen as disrespectful to any individual member here, and I apologise for taking the conversation beyond what is acceptable to the forum. My first comment on that thread said something to the effect of we need to be careful with politics, and then I too got caught in the flow. Noob error 
From what I know of the three moderators, I think three good people have been chosen for the role. I would like to congratulate them on their appointment, and thank them for helping to maintain the decorum of this place. My own previous inappropriate comments aside, I think the forum will benefit from more hands on the pumps, such as keeping the trade threads tidy. That is not meant as any disrespect to existing admin, I know only too well how life can get in the way of forum life. I missed all the excitement with Lunecat, and whilst we didn’t see eye to eye on every topic, I would like to wish him well. We traded a few times, and those dealings always went smoothly. I know he has also helped out members in the past with hard to obtain items. I do hope that members are given the opportunity to realign themselves with appropriate decorum should future transgressions occur, and our new team don’t get a little “trigger happy” for want of a better expression. Again, I have no idea how events unfolded today. Again, apologies and congratulations where appropriate, and my best wishes to all members.
To be clear, I asked Dave to add a couple moderators to help me out. When I started, we had several. One by one they lost interest and stopped posting. I am the only original moderator from the beginning, When Alex owned the forum.Â
The last few days I’ve been very busy with my “real” (paying) business. I saw these political threads going bad but I didn’t have time to babysit them.Â
I appreciate the help! No one, besides me, requested new moderators.

Thanks for the clarification Mark. You did the right thing. Not only is it unfair for all the upkeep to rely on one member, but it’s also nice to have other mods to bounce ideas off. I acknowledge my part in recent events, and will try to be a little more measured in my replies. While I never “attacked” a member, I did say some thing that other members may find unpalatable, and for that it’s only right I face up to it and apologise. Thank you for holding the fort for so long, Mark. Your service to the forum is appreciated.
I threw my name in the hat because I wanted to pay back into the forum I’ve loved for so long. I personally miss Lunecat, but the double-alias bantering got me, which is why I booted “Declan”. I don’t personally get too bothered by politics, but there is a reason most topical groups have rules against them in the first place. I don’t want to come in giving off the wrong impression off the bat. Shoot, I just want to help.

@50ft_trad With a twelve year old, a nine year old, an eight month old, a full time job, and a business on the side, coffee does nothing for me anymore 
All it does for me is cure constipation - whether I had it or not! 
If it’s any consolation buddy, my 33 year old brother just found out he’s going to be a Grandfather. That’s done a number on his head big time.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was Declan/Lunecat (same guy) who was doing the apologizing.
To the Moderators, thank you for ending that thread of madness. I breathed a sigh of relief when it was ended.
But please clarify: Is Lunecat still a member of this forum?Â
I find that most of the snuff users are a very civilized bunch. With out going into details, usually online someone will quickly, start slinging insults because of my background, and I haven’t had that happen here or in the reddit page.

I believe lunecat apologized to Chico, though I do not believe he should apologize for speaking his mind. Politics is a tricky issue, almost always if you talk about politics for long enough you’re sure to offend someone. The only other issue would be calling these so called Social Justice Warriors a cancer, possibly passively aggressively offending these kinds of people, even if the intent wasnt there. Though personally the only thing that I saw out of line was the message to Chico that was apologized for, I also kind of find using the word “cancer” in politics draws alot of negative connotations between WW2. Eitherway all is done, and I hope we can put this behind us, since continually bringing it up never helps. lunecat has stated that he will not comment on overly political thread/off topic and with the apology for Chico in my opinion the matter is settled. I probably do not have all the information and do not know what has been said in private, though I believe in a 3 strike warning policy, unless its something completely ridiculous.  Anyway snuffhouse to me seems like a huge snuff family and every family fights sometimes every now and then.

@lunecat he didn’t ask you to do it, he asked if you thought that you should - and also apologised in advance if you had done so and he hadn’t seen it.  He actually went out of his way to say that he WASN’T saying that you should do so, just wanted your thoughts on it.
