Friar Ram
Hmm.
A problem.
See Mr.Snuff for details of new snuff, Friar Ramon Pane.
A slightly moist, gros ( coarse milled ) Indian cheroot tobacco fermented with a concentrate of leaves boiled with Maldon sea salt and lightly cased with a tincture of Tonka beans and Vanilla pods.
Named after the poor anchorite of the Order of St. Jerome, who accompanied Christopher Columbus on his second voyage to the New World in 1493 and on his return in 1498, is credited with introducing to Europe the habit of snuffing ground tobacco, which he had noticed among the Taipo and Carib peoples of the Lesser Antilles.
Your creations are a great hit. Keep up the good work.Â
This sounds like my kind of snuff. Â Heading that way to add a 50gr tin to my cart.
Edit:  Done.  Can’t wait!!
@chefdaniel me too!
Just ordered a 50g tin and some Creme de Figue.
Looking forward to it!
Sounds well worth a try!
@Johnny Friar Ramon Pane lived among the TAINO (not Taipo) people for several years to learn their language and culture, as the best way to evangelize them. He was the first european to study and speak a native “Indian” language. What he saw and learnt was written in “Relacion acerca de las antiguedades de los indios”, allegedly known as the first book written in America.
