A new level of snuffery

I used to enjoy a roll up now and then, between pipes and snuffs, and they went from once in a while to one a day, to five a day, to ten a day on my days off. It got to the point of short of breath, wet smoker’s cough and a weak sense of smell. Yikes, wtf have I been doing?? I decided to cold-turkey it on the smoke for a while, hopefully do away with roll-ups all together, and to limit my pipes to one or two a week, with no inhaling. Another goal is to cut way back on the snus, to lower the nico-tolerance. They are so salty anyway. The result is wonderful. And it has been painless. Not like cold-turkey without nicotine! I am really enjoying my snuffs at a higher level. The rush is sometimes so intense, I just want to close my eyes and ride the wave. Do you know this feeling? I’m sure this is a familiar story to many of you, but it just floats my boat, and I had to mention it. Limiting the nicotine intake to snuff really works! I’m on day 4. Went for a run yesterday. I did and felt MUCH better than last week.

I totally agree spranalang. When I first started snuffing I had just quit smoking and was an inexperienced snuffer. I didn’t feel much from the snuff but liked the scent and burn. Plus is curbed my cravings. As my tolerance decreased I started to enjoy the nic in snuff. I think learning to snuff without hitting the back of my throat helped as well. Now I get a nice rush from snuff and it totally satifies me. The best part is I can go a few hours without snuffing and still feel great. Not like cigs which I needed every hour. I can’t agree on the running part, I don’t run. But I do feel better.

Im in this same conundrum. My RYO intake has increased. Got to do the same thing. Make snuff my vice, not my luxury. good job!

It’s been a while since my last cigarette. After snuffing and not buying cigarettes (bumming one occasionally) for a while I can no longer stand the smell of cigs. I work with tons of people that smoke and I could be smoking 5+ a day without buying a pack, but I don’t even smoke 1. My parents (broke student must live at home in the summer!) think I’ve gone crazy and gotten addicted to some whole new thing and don’t really appreciate the fact that I’m no longer smoking (except my pipes which I don’t inhale and don’t even smoke daily).
