Just received an order from snuffstore and have found a new favourite. Aged Border Rapee! I’ve always been a fan of rapee, SG Black Rapee and Scotch Black are a couple that spring to mind, but this combines the dark leather and subtle fruit scents with a beautiful tobacco aroma and a descent nic hit. On top of that it’s milled finer than the offerings from SG and as a result sits in the nose a lot easier. Another fantastic offering from Johnny and heartily recommended!

I agree guys. A wonderful and satisfying Snuff. I too hope it stays around. I’m going to start buying the large tins next time.
Gotta go ahead and order some, along with two I already love (Thrice Brewed and Creme De Figue)… Man, SWS is some seriously delicious stuff.

Sounds right up my street! I love SG Black Rapee and Scotch Black, and can only imagine how nice this finer milled offering from SWS is. I’ll be sure to chuck this into the next order.

Resurrecting this thread to give my thoughts on this - absolutely one of the best rappees I’ve ever tried. It has a raspberry-like fruity sweetness, maybe a bit of orange in there too? It also doesn’t have the tarmac thing all the dark Wilson’s snuffs have. The moisture content is JUST enough to where it clings in your nose evenly and doesn’t want to fall out like some that ball up because they’re too moist. I’m just trying to think of what else I smell, maybe a bit of leather, but it mostly comes out being fruity. Amazing snuff. I just still am blown away by how Sir Johnny pulls that fruity sweetness out without cloying casings. I guess that’s the difference between an Artisan snuff and a regular commercial mill. It really makes me want to get into pipe tobacco smoking but I’ve got enough of a habit with snuff.
