How do I upload an image from my computer? I tried here but met with utter failure

hmm, all you need to do is press “Choose File” below where you write your comment, pick your photo, and press upload. I’m assuming you’ve done that? Idk why it doesn’t work for you.

That image does download if clicked on. It looks like a couple of broken plastic spoon bowls resting on a box of Gletscherprise. Sorry I’m no help otherwise.
