So last night following our gig at a local bar I was hanging out with an older British couple (from Nottingham) out on the patio. Being this is NC and some of the places we play this was a slightly rare occurrence. Anyway I had bummed a cig (a fag) or two from them (I smoke the occasional cig at gigs only, I don’t drink so it is my something “bad” to do when at a bar) and it struck me being I had two brits here I took out my snuff box and in proper form tapped the lid, opened it, and passed to the left. The both immediately said “oh snuff” and took a pinch. It was WOS COC incidentally. They were both happily surprised and hadn’t seen it in years (they had been living stateside for 20 years). Stories ensued about the man’s grandfather being a snuffer. They asked where the heck I got it and I passed on the details of Mr. Snuff. Just a first time here in good old NC that I can share a social snuffing experience. Ken

Good man! Nothing like that has happened to me yet, though a guy I work with to whom I’ve lent some 5g tins of WoS told me when he goes down the pub he offers some to his friends and they all take a pinch. Of MY snuff! :((
