A Couple of Blends

I’m not much of a snuff blender (I learned with pipe tobacco that the people who make the blends do so because they actually know what they are doing) but here are two blends that I want to put out there because they salvaged a few snuffs that I otherwise would have ignored. The first I call Roasted Peanuts 1 part Toque peanut butter 1 part Railroad mills plain To me both of these snuffs were bland. Together they really work to bring out the flavor of the other. The result is a nutty American Scotch with a nice nic hit. The second is Naked White Boy 1 part Dholakia white (thus the white boy) 1 Part Toque Natural (thus the naked) The addition of Toque Natural brings out the flavor of the White, while making it more manageable. Previously, I found the grind of the White to be so fine that I could not get enough to really enjoy the flavor with out dusting my entire windpipe. Now the flavor comes through and the consistency is that of a toast. Top it off with a very nice nic hit Anyway, I would love to hear your feedback if anyone tries these. In the meantime, I think I’ll keep my day job.

The second is Naked White Boy 1 part Dholakia white (thus the white boy) 1 Part Toque Natural (thus the naked) I just mixed a small batch of this up. I’ll let it sit for a few hours and report back. White for me is almost unusable. I get along with most toasts and some Scotches, but White is beyond my limited abilities.

the trick with White is to rub it into the nose. Hold your breath while doing it.

@bigmick Is the WHite that harsh? I’m not too familiar with that variety. Sounds bad if you can only rub it in your nose!

At least it´s the safest way… and works just fine! It gets moist enough in the nose, after 2-3 seconds. Quite delightful then.

@ bart, the White is not harsh. Just very finely ground. It’s very hard for me to sniff gently enough to keep it where it’s supposed to be. I’m one of those guys that can’t pinch anything finer than Taxi. I get by sniffing off my thumbnail or the back of my hand. “Dirty White Boy” is an excellent blend. Nice hit, not to dry and fine. Almost perfect. Thanks, snifs.
