I received this today. Fuck me sideways, it is strong! I’ve never overdosed on nic before, I have a high tolerance, but one pinch of this I was sweating, felt sick and my head was swimming. I like the flavour too. If you want the best nic rush of your life GET THIS! @Vikas you make some damn good snuff judging by this, I’m getting the rest of the line ASAP. Love it! Stefan
I also caught a buzz off this stuff despite being a moderate user of dip and strong snus. Cheeta is a very nice snuff as are all the 6 photo snuffs.
@Walrus1985 your review makes me glad I have a tin on its way (hopefully it gets here before CP goes on strike). Have you tried White Elephant, I would really like to know how it compares.
@n9inchnails … CP? (Canadian Postal?) … i was about to panic, thinking it i should rush and get my order in as well. This one is in my cart … can’t wait to try based on Walrus’ FMS comment. Stuff must rock.
6 Photo Cheetah is D. White with more nicotine and no fish smell. It has a very subtle floral scent with a fantastic tobacco base.
@snuffbrant CP means Canada Post
I love this snuff. Its quickly becoming one of my favorites. Surprises me with how fluffy it is for being so dry. Beautiful all around definitely a winner for me.
@n9ine I’ve never tried WE, but would like too. Cheeta makes DW look like a mild snuff. Nice flavour as well. Stefan
@n9inchnails White Elephant is extremely similar in grind, moisture, and the curious fluffiness but White Elephant still suffers from the fishy smell that 6 Photo managed to eliminate. If you don’t mind that smell (personally, I don’t) then it’s an all-around good snuff but the price (when compared to Cheetah) simply isn’t worth it.
I’m sold. I’m gonna get me some cheeta
Well I got my Cheeta and I think that it is closer to WE than it is to DW but WE is finer grind. It has alot more flavour since WE has only a hint of flavour and I get none of that fishy smell in either Cheeta or WE that I get in DW, Pike Mopers must have a more refined sense of smell or something because I get no fishy smell from WE but I do get it in DW. I must say that I get a noticable higher nic buzz from WE than I do from Cheeta, I don’t know if it actually has more nicotine or if its just the finer grind making absorption faster but the better nic hit makes me prefer WE over Cheeta. Cheeta is still a great snuff and its much cheaper and easier to get than WE and I’ll definately be getting another tin of Cheeta before this one runs out.
You guys convinced me to order some. I’ve been getting my nic hit from Taj Madras, but it burns too much. Hopefully this will be better.
guys apart from cheeta try other stuff from their stable…i m hooked …especially kailash…i dont do dip or snus…simple natural way…put on ur palm, use ur index finger and brush…like v all did before toothbrush was invented…me is hooked
Teeth rubbing with snuff on the finger just does nothing for me. Now, some snuffs have a nice taste, but I just have this gritty stuff in my mouth and all I wanna do it rinse my mouth out.
I got my Cheeta today. Nice stuff. Velvety grind, subtle scent and nice nic hit. Not as strong as Taj but close enough and it doesn’t burn.
@rdunnion I was looking for a word to describe the grind… you nailed it with “velvety”. Do you really get more nicotine from Taj or are you commenting on the strength of the flavor?
Taj has my head spinning, so strong that I only use it after work. But it burns so much and has so much ammonia that my eyes tear, not water, tear. There is no flavor to Taj. It’s like sniffing lime. Cheeta has a nice mild scent and decent buzz. It along with Dholokia Ganga are my new everydays.
@rdunnion You are talking about Dholakia Taj in the little 7g tubs? Maybe my tub is just too old but I get a strong flavor, mild burn, and very weak nicotine.
@Pike Mopers - No Taj Madras in the 50g tube. Plain as plain can be.
@rdunnion that makes sense now. yeah it’s quite plain but nice
I just ordered cheetah after reading these threads for the 3rd time in the past two years. The only white snuff I’ve tried is WE, and I like it. I didn’t at first, the usual too dry, throat hit stuff, but now I find it very nice. As a side note, I mixed some of it with the Rustica fine ground from Toque. That was a unique blend. It actually made my head spin a bit.
I am fairly new so still getting used to extremely fine milled snuffs like this one. Since I like my fix of nictine, I ordered 3 8 gram tins and 2 30 gram ones. I think its going to last me for years considering how little I have to take to get that nic hit. Just dip your one finger tip on the surface and shed out the excess. A considerable amount just sticks on your tip and trust me, as a beginner, thats enough for me. That, and just sniff it by placing below your nostril, one at a time. That should do it. Yes, I need that less to get that nicotine punch.
Do you guys think Cheeta is loaded with Rustica or possibly even close to a straight Rustica? Cheeta has that appearance and the same effect that I get from Rustica if i’ve been using it for days.
@Aamon, was curious about that also. Vikas please illuminate.
Since yesterday I am able to take the Cheeta by the pinch method, and its much better. I get none at the back of my throat or cough. Amazing stuff. I reconsider my comment above about my present stock lasting me for years. I will be reordering this soon.
And I think it would help to mark Vikas @sixphoto so he gets an alert - even I am curious of your question above.
Yes we do use a lot of rustica in the Cheeta but I’m not going to divulge the exact proportion ?
@sixphoto Cheeta is quickly becoming one of my favorites!
@sixphoto is that was a question, I think you should divulge the exact proportions
Though anyway Cheeta is an absolutely wonderful snuff, I poked a hole in the top of one of those small samples and sometimes snuff it by squeezing the container with the hole up to my nose, works a treat.
@Aamon - The question to you is, by that method, do you think it will get into the lungs? I am pretty perplexed by this w.r.t. fine dry variety. Does any of it get in the lungs if sniffed the wrong way? What is the right way to ensure it doesn’t go in the lungs? Or would you automatically cough if any begins to gets in the lungs?
I think you’d have to try extremely hard to get any snuff into your lungs at all.
@Oregon - I sincerely hope so. I do have a small pinch and do not have any coughing or sneezing. Is that proof enough that none is getting in my lungs? Because I love the Cheeta, and may love other fine dry variety - and don’t want to stop it due to this being a fear. I am such a nicotine fiend!
@noobiesnuffer I think you cough because the snuff is hitting your throat mate. Snuff likes to stick to stuff… it would take a real effort to get that snuff all the way into your lungs without sticking inside of your nose, throat, etc. Maybe if you are pretending to be scarface with the stuff and diving face first into some ultra fine snuff.
Dholakia White, Cheeta, White Elephant, and some Scotches still make me cough from time to time. I wouldn’t worry at all about it brother. If it really bothers/worries you, try to pinch towards the front of your nose to reduce how much ends up hitting your throat.
I’ve been snuffing about 5 years now, and do it from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed. I just did 5+ hours of snowshoeing today with my Search and Rescue group. I have no effect on my cardio whatsoever. Even vaping effected my cardio, I’ve never had a single issue with years of daily snuff use.
@newbiesnuffer I do not inhale when I squeeze the container, I guess its kind of like the straw method without the straw. It always hits the perfect place, I keep a small gap between the hole and my nose to prevent me from pumping it into my nose. I find when I take Cheeta by pinching (I take big pinches) it takes me up to a couple of minutes to take the pinch, the squeeze method I can do in a few seconds without concentrating too much. As for the snuff hitting my lungs that would be quite hard, there’s a fair way the snuff would have to travel from your nose to your lungs
I just got some Cheeta and haven’t figured out how take any appreciable amount yet. I always choke and blast it back. I imagine I look like one of those cinnamon challenge idiots. When I use the method where you get some on your thumb, seal it against your nostril, and pull through the other nostril, either nothing goes in or I still choke. The smell also has some unidentifiable and unpleasant weirdness to it. I’ll probably just use this to fortify lower nicotine snuffs.
@ArgentOrangeOK - Indian whites are a breeze if you just evenly coat your finger with the snuff and learn to sniff gently - not too much, not too little - by the method you described above, which is known as plugging. You’ll get it in time, but you just need to keep going unless you’re killing yourself. And yes, small bumps, please. You can always repeat with several other small pinches. Having said that, the seniors in the forum advocate whites not as an all day everyday snuff if you want to keep decent nicotine tolerance levels. Try some of the other snuffs and mix your day with the whites 3-4 times in a day. Experiment is key.
Enjoy! Let us know.
Edit: Grammatical error corrected.
to my nose, cheetah is the stronger of the indian whites and easiest to snuff. i think DW is the hardest to snuff and WE is in the middle. has anyone mentioned willie pete? its a great indian white more similar to DW than the others. its extremely fine in grind
Since the 6 Photo website says that in India they use it for the cleaning of teeth aka in the mouth… anybody ever did that ?
I’d hazard a guess that millions of Indians have done it. But seriously, I’ve never tried it, but there are a lot of Indian snuff that are produced in toothpaste form. I’f you’d like to try one of those, check out the snuff products at http://hookah1.com/HOOOKAH2/index.php?route=common/home. I’ve used them in the past. They are quite dependable.
I saw different very interesting items at hookah1.com but didnt order their yet since i am in Germany.
There is a good chance that customs will have a look. I would love to order the Swastika Snuff but the
package alone would give me some serious headache over here. Maybe i will give it a try in the new
year. It would be interesting for the snuff alone but i also would like to get some of this indian chew they
sell.
I find with this snuff the best way for me to take it is to just stuff it into my nostril. Which is pretty easy to do. If you take a pinch and remove your fingers from each other the white snuff will stick in a pile on your finger if you just put the pile in the nose and barely wiggle it back and forth the snuff will stick in the nose. Or you can use the back of your nail to scope a pile up and then place it in the nose. After wards pinch the nostril and it’s all good. Ironically this is the same way I take greased snuffs too.
Well i snuff Cheeta for quite some time now (guess 2-3 years) but never used it like the indians do hence i was interested if someone else did this. I am not sure, they put it in the mouth and let it dissolve or put in on a toothbrsuh or on a finger ?? Thats what i meant.
@Prismaster I am fairly sure that they put it on their finger and then “brush” their teeth with the finger.
I think they put in on a toothbrush or finger and kind of brush their teeth with it (its used as a dentifrice) but I have never done it.
I think they do both that and use it orally like an American scotch
The snuff use in India has evolved predominantly into dentifrice , though it is used nasally as well .
Generally speaking and out of my own experience unflavoured oily snuffs are best suited for use as a dentifrice.
Gul is another branch of tobacco snuff which is used solely as a dentifrice.
Gul is a big selling item in central India
@sixphoto Do people in India use snuffs like Anarkali, Kailash, Super Kailash, and Special as a dentifrice?
Yes even mentholated and flavoured snuffs are used as dentifrice big time.
@6photo Does that influence your design of snuffs? I imagine that nasal use and dentifrice use are each best served by different clusters of properties. For example, was Kailash designed for nasal use or for use as a dentifrice? And in designing new snuffs, do you prioritize one type of use over the other, or do you aim to find a balance?
@willynelson I’m not sure that Manit’s company produce creme snuffs, but if you have a look at the available snuffs on Hookah1, you’ll see several made like toothpaste.
@willynelson a very valid query ! Initially all our snuffs were designed for nasal use only , particularly if you mention Kailash, which is our best selling brand in India , was designed for nasal use only and is used as such in many areas particularly Gujrat were local made plain snuffs and tobacco toothpastes or creamy snuffs are particularly used for dentifrice. Having said that ,in many other parts of India particularly M.P and Maharashtra ,the same snuff and many other mentholated and flavoured snuffs are used as dentifrice.
This refrains us from making any alterations in our old established line of products, but we do take the usage into consideration whilst launching a new product or a new market.
Gujrat is also home to many companies producing tobacco toothpaste or creamy snuffs ,as they are called.
Ipco and Dentobac are the two major brands as of now.
i am loving this thread
Breathing it in,rather than sniffing, works for me. Lovely stuff.
@sixphoto is lime an ingredient of cheeta? What is the point of adding lime to tobacco’s? Hasn’t it been found to be cancerous? It’s a concern I have.
it’s food grade lime. So if you eat pickles you’ve eaten the same type of lime.
@Eyetried Lime is an essential ingredient in all tobacco products . It essentialy activates the tobacco.
