Hi everyone… Our company KHETU RAM BISHAMBER DAS(PM) manufactures 5 Photo Snuff and some of our famous blends are Himalaya Snuff, Super Himalaya Snuff and Special Snuff. Pls visit our website at www.snuffindia.com. Regards Dhrruv
dhrruv, nice to see you here. One of our members was gracious enough to send us some Himalaya snuff. Is there any way your snuffs will be available for sale in the USA like Dholakia and Sun?
Hi, and welcome to the forum. Please seek a possibility for a USA online distributer/seller, so we may purchase your snuffs. I would like them all. I have an old Himalaya tin now, and like it alot.
Yes it is good snuff. I had chance to try some of ermtony’s in our local pub last night thanks to the generosity of Red Star.
I requested free samples forever ago, and never received anything, or even a reply.
I was told that the metal Himalaya cans that I have, and have sent to others here, are a bit old, and I suspect they must be using a new plastic tub now.
Tom, the one you sent was had writing on the inside of the tin. It seemed to have once been part of a larger storage/shipping box. I guess they cut the incoming boxes up and reshape them into little tins.
Dear all I would want everyone of you to try one of our blends called Super Himalaya Snuff…It has been very successful in China…Unlike Himalaya Snuff, this blend is golden in color and would be a bit rough owing to the strong tobacco used in it…The smell of menthol would also be a little less but the life is much more than Himalaya Snuff Regards Dhrruv
Yeah, that shop where I got those has/had a box of 10 of those tins, and a bunch loose tins. I thought about getting the box if it was a bargain, but it wasn’t any better.
Dhrruv, thanks, I would like to that and the others. Please see if it’s possible you can let MrSnuff or Nicotinerush carry your snuffs for us. I just bought 5 kinds of Sun Snuffs from an American online seller today.
@ dhrruv: can samples be requested from your website?
I tried that long ago, but never got anything, or a reply.
I love the Himalaya, and wouldn’t mind trying some of the other products.
What is the signifigance(spell?) of the various Photo brands of snuff? 5 Photo, 6 Photo, and I also saw a 2 Photo? Are they connected in any way? I noticed they have that many pictures of people on the snuff cans. Is this the lineage parampara of said snuff company?
Dear Tom 5 Photo was the first brand to have the word photo in it…It was started in the year 1915 in the State of Punjab in India…Due to the huge success of this brand many manufacturers entered the market with brand names like 2 Photo, 6 Photo, 7 Photo, 9 Photo, 41 Photo, 50 Photo etc etc…None of these brands are older than 5 Photo…They have their manufacturing units in a village in Punjab…There is no relation of 5 Photo with these brands… Regards Dhrruv
Thanks. Being it seems there is ALOT of snuff makers in India, I have found many websites, though their products are hard to find in the US. As a nasal snuff, how popular is snuff usage in India?
Sorry to revive an old thread. Does anyone know when I can acquire some of the Himalaya in the States? Thanks.
@Yimes…Actually this was a fantastic thread revival…I was completly unaware of this particular snuff! Good find! The Wiz!
I have access to 5 Photo Himalaya Snuff, Madras Snuff, and an Indian made Rose snuff. These are at an Indian grocery near an Indian buffet place I go to sometimes. These are on the other side of town from me, and it’s been a while since I’ve been there, and don’t know when I will again, but I am sure I will sometime. If anyone wants these, let me know what you want, and I’ll try and keep a mental track of it, and pick them up and mail them upon payment.
@tom502…Thanks! I have an Indian grocery store right down the street from me…going to give them a try this week and see if they may have some also!! The Wiz!
