  so I was smoking a pack and a half a day and started using snuff everyday I've now been 5 days without a cigarette and been feeling much better anyone else been having good success quitting cigarettes with snuff?

  thank you! I have a quick question if I may... dose anyone else have trouble finding snuff in tobacco stores in the us? I live in Vermont and I cant find and stores that seem to sell it anymore is anyone else having this problem in the us?

    Yep. I live in Kansas City, Missouri...and thus far I've found only three stores with snuff for sale. Only one of those stores had more than one brand available (they had 2 available). Really, in the United States, if you want a variety to choose from, you pretty much have to order on-line. http://mrsnuff.com/

    Yes, snuff seems to be like the red-headed, unwashed stepchild of tobacco in the US. Plenty of good choices from UK vendors though. Shipping is a bit steep, but no issues getting the goods.     by sodium carbonate do they mean sodium bicarbonate? ( baking soda?)

    Different things, but related. Take baking soda and heat in a 200F oven for 1 hour. You are left with sodium carbonate.
