@Captainblackboogers, smells like shitty artificial vanilla because it IS shitty artificial vanilla, artificial vanilla or tonka flavoring. Elmos smells exactly like cheap vanilla car air fresheners. In fact the similarity is so strong that I would bet they are using basically the same scenting agent. I actually enjoy Elmos in great moderation and often in a mix, but I imagine I would prefer a naturally tonka scented snuff, something I have not tried yet. I do recall reading somewhere, probably here, that Elmos is made with artificial tonka scent. I believe this is the scent used in cheap automotive air fresheners, or near enough. Anyway, before you toss it you should try using small amounts in blends. I recommend mixing 5 parts plain schmalzler, such as Poschls Perlesreuter or Schmalzler A or Sternecker Echt Fresko, with 1 part Elmos and 2 parts chocolate snuff, preferably Dholakias Swiss Chocolate. THAT is actually delicious.
