Scent is closely linked to memory.

The day my wife had an emergency c-section with our twins, I was snuffing Chief Bull snuff. Afterward, that tin of snuff got lost in my collection. Now, 6 years later, I find it, dump a little on my hand, sniff it, and that fruity smell takes me right back to that day. It’s like it’s happening all over again.
When I was in high school, I found a tin of WE Garrets Sweet Scotch snuff at my local smoke shop. Taking a pinch of that harsh sweetness, takes me back to 2004, driving around town with friends in my old Thunderbird.
Does anyone else have a snuff that you associate with a certain memory? That magical moment where you’re somewhere else, is probably my favorite part of snuff taking. Remembering things long forgotten.
