i’m with you, @bob … Chameleons UK = yes. I may have “Strange Times” somewhere on vinyl … gotta dig it out.

@snuffbrant Yes my friend! I grew up in the eighties or the ‘New Wave’ era. Roxy Music, Peter Murphy, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Love and Rockets…All in rotation on my ipod. Reminds me of the good ole days.

Absolutely, BigDaddy … me as well. Your rotation sounds about like mine, along with The English Beat, The Church, New Order, R.E.M., the Replacements, on and on … man, say what you want about the 80’s, but the “alternative music” at that time was truly something special. Had to really hunt for it and drive miles to a college town record store to find good music.

@snuffbrant Brother our tastes are identical. The Church, Hoodoo Gurus, ABC, XTC, Tears for Fears. The 80’s, in my opinion was a magical time in music. There was a huge blend of all kinds of music. I think it had a lot to do with a surge of British music that influenced American taste. It seems we get a flood of great music that way. Assuming your in the states. I am really interested in collecting vinyl now. Before I really didn’t care about format but I really dig the sleeve art. Maybe I will start hunting around for vinyl

@bob, wow, Chameleons are good! My first impression it’s like early Cure with Joy Devision and a hint of Isis.

Not sure where in the states you are, BigDaddy … but vinyl is certainly making a resurgence … in cincinnati, Everybody’s Records and Shake It Records are two very good spots to thumb through vinyl stacks. Every time I drop the needle, that hush and whir and flickery static is music to my ears.

Scissor Sisters

And my Window Media player random choice is- The Invisible Gardener, Bright Eyes.
